Check the continuity of the headlights to make sure there switching from the DTR Lights to the highbeams. If you are not getting the proper continuity check the ground wire for the low beams to ensure its properly grounded and has proper continuity throughout the wire. If not replace the wire or tighten as required and that should fix your problem.

lemme know if you require further assistance,

Front head lights quit working high beems work low beam doesn't new bulbs and fuses are good for both sides can anyone help? Been working on cars for years can't figure this one out

Could be dirty or burned dipswitch contacts. If the driver smokes this is not uncommon.

I suggest exposing the multiplug to the dipswitch and bridging the terminals as required to bypass the switch.

The headlight on the pass. side works right. the drivers side when in low beem, the light is in high beem. when the light is on high beem the light is on low beem. this is a 2000 mercury sable

someone has switched the wiring harness sockets to the wrong bulbs or installed the bulbs in reverse. get in behind the headlight assembly on the driver side and reverse the wires, if that does not work then pull the bulbs and swap them inside to outside and vice versa.

1998 Camry Low beams work fine but when i switch to high beam i loose all lights

the relay for your highbeem lights is bad, replace it and you should be good, or you could just switch the high beem relay, with the low beem relay, they are the same, and if the high beems work like that you know its full proof, if not... well you know, we will hafta move to something else.. hope you find this helpful

Head lights and brake lights not working

check power wire which runs to the brakelight with a test light, get someone to apply the brake on and off and see if there is power getting back to that point, if no power check the switch on the brake pedal to see if power is getting to that point.
also check the earth on the bulbs because they wont work if there is no earth

Head light do not work but the high beams will

This is a common problem. You didn't mention the type of vehicle you have and whether or not its one or both bulbs. At any rate, first make sure the bulbs are not blown, the head light fuses are not blow and that the headlight connectors are on. If all of those things are good there maybe a problem with the wires or the dimmer switch may have failed. You may need a wiring diagram to follow up with. I know that you will say that because the switch still activates the high beems, how could it have failed. The reason is because power for the low beams often travel thru this switch. Often times, this portion of the circuit can fail.

Low-beams not working on 2008 Ford 150

Basicly lights operate from same source of power, so if you have high beems then power and ground should be intact. The operation of changing high to low is controlled by column switch,< blinker switch assembly >, and there slight possibility that both bulbs are actualy bad. To be on the safe side would check bulbs and wiring to them is in good shape before trying switch replacement.
