  1. Turn the car on.
  2. Turn the AC on coldest setting.
  3. Turn the Fan on highest setting.
  4. You want to fill from the low side and watch the gauge. Sometimes a AC system gets so low it has to be vacuum pressurized for a while before a charge will be successful. In that case the gauge will go into the red right away. Something to look out for anyway.
  5. With the R134 the connectors are different sixes so you won't be able to stick the refrigerant adapter on the wrong connector.
  6. See picture for the location of your low side (where you will fill) The high side runs the other direction off your compressor towards the condenser. Remove green cap to fill.

Keep in mind that if you are filling it then your AC system has a leak. AC systems are completely sealed. You may want to stick some dye in the system to see where the leak is from. Until you fix the leak, it will need a recharge from time to time.

My brake lights on my 1999 mercury tracer will not go out. how do I fix them?

They're is a part called a Brake Switch right in front of your pedal. This works the opposite of most switches, as in when you press the pedal and the button is released, your brake lights come on. It's possible that it needs to adjusted or even replaced. Hope this helps.

Where is ecm box located on 99 tracer mercury

It is located under the dash, directly in front of the center floor console. The easiest way to access is to remove the console, which is very easy to figure out and do. The console is only held in place with about 6 phillips head screws
