I own a Toyota Camry LE 2006 . Recently I took it for a 36 point inspection. The inspector told me that I needed to do some fixtures on the vehice. However, I do not understand the meaning s. Can you explain to me what each of them mean/ I am listing them in order : 1: Leaking Water pump - How do I notice this in the car ? What will happen to tell me that the water pump is leaking? 2. Under Steering compnents it says Rack is Leaking, Passenger bello torn open. 3. LF Strut /stunt is seeping. I want to know what each of them mean. What problems in the car will tell me that the above problems are there Can you provide me witjh an estimate of how much it will cost to replace all of them or fix these problems.

1. There is a drain hole under the water pump that allows leakage past the pump seal to drain off. To verify this locate the water pump - it is one of the components in the belt train and has a radiator hose connected to it. Look underneath it for signs of coolant leakage, a luminous green or yellow fluid.
2. The shaft that moves the front wheels to steer has fluid under pressure in it for the power steering. What they are saying is that one end of this shaft has a leaking seal. Turn the steering to full lock and follow the rod from the wheel to the rack on both sides and look for leaks there.
The bellows could be the boot on either the steering rack or perhaps the CV joint boot that is torn, also in the vicinity of the steering.
3. The left front shock absorber is leaking, This is inside the coil spring behind the left front wheel. You should be able so see a little oil around the tube inside the coil. The strut supports the wheel.

All the items mentioned are replacement items. I do not have your location and am not familiar with your labour cost structure. Have several service centers look at your problems and obtain quotes from them to compare prices.

What engine size? how many miles on the vehicle?

1: Leaking Water pump - How do I notice this in the car ?

Typically you will see a lot of dried up coolant around the water pump. If the coolant level gets low enough it will cause the vehicle to over heat and potentially do a lot of damage.

Water pumps are extremely common on these years.

2. Under Steering components it says Rack is Leaking, Passenger bellow torn open.

The rack is the part that turns the wheels left and right. If a bellow is torn and there is fluid coming out of it than the seals in the rack have gone bad. Eventually enough fluid will leak out and cause the power steering to no longer work and possibly ruin the power steering pump.

3. LF Strut /stunt is seeping.

It means that the oil on the strut is starting to leak out. The strut is what absorbs the bumps in the road and holds your tires down on the road. Eventually the strut will loose its ability to do this and the tires will start to cup. It is not uncommon for struts to show signs of leaking and is usually the first indicator that the strut is starting to fail.

Hope that helped.

I tired to get my car inspected today put the told me they could not because of the emerency brake but could u tell me what it could me

Your rear brakes are probably in need of adjustment. Try to pull the hand brake around twenty times to adjust the rear brakes. If this does not work then you will need to check your star wheel adjustment screw. It could be frozen and need to be sprayed with something like sea foam or something else. The rear brakes should be fine if your inspector did not alert you that they are worn out

Front dash electrical power outlet in is dead. Not a blown fuse.

Owners manual should tell you what fuse, or cover of fuse panel.
