The best way is to take it loose from the torque converter, loosen transmission mounts, take out yolk on the driveshaft, pull the drive shaft, slide tranny back then you will be able to see how to finish.

I have a 1995 Chevy S10 4.6L 2WD Ext Cab truck. Just replaced the transmission and have bled the system. I started the engine and I cannot shift into first gear without grinding the gears. Any suggestions...

If you can see the slave cylinder actuate, then have someone push the clutch down and watch for movement. You should see the release lever move at least a half inch. Let me know if you get movement. I also would like to know if you had the flywheel machined and if you removed, replaced, or added any shims between the ****** and engine block.

How do i change my rear seal on my transmission on a 1995 chevy truck.

Well, first the trans has to come out, then the flywheel off, then its at the end of the crankshaft. Before you go to doing all that, make SURE its what is really leaking. The rear of the intake manifold is FAMOUS for leaking oil and it will appear that the rear main seal is leaking, when it really isnt. Check the valve cover gaskets also.

Motor swap

The flywheel is balanced different. Use the 79 flywheel. The exhaust is all going to have to be changed. The trans., bellhousing will work.
