keyless entry doesnt work! when i open manually the car honks until i press the unlock button on the keyless entry or i turn the car on! sometimes when i turn the car on there is no sound at all...no radio, no blinker sound or anything then i turn the car off, and back on again and it works again! the dealer has already replaced two keyless entry remotes for me! what the heck is wrong with it?

Same problem here, only works for a couple of seconds after leaving the car, and after I open the door using the keys. Changing the battery didn't fix it!

solution #2 worked for me. I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes and things have worked and have not had a problem.

I had the exact same problem where I could lock the car remotely but I couldn't unlock it remotely after about 2 minutes. I was able to fix the problem by simply disconnecting the positive (red) side of the battery for a minute, and then reconnecting it.

Believe it or not you need to take it to the dealer. There is a software reprogram for the remote control door lock receiver to fix the probelm - really common on tahoes and suburbans. Go to the dealer and tell them about bulletin #06-08-52-002g. It probably will need new remotes also. Try and get the dealer to warranty it since its a known product defect and a known problem

Have you tried changing the battery in the remote? Also try unhooking your cr battery overnight to see if it resets the module

Our keyless remote stoped working on our 2007 chevy impala. we put a new battery in and proceded to reprogram it according to directions, it still will not work. is it that we just need a new remote or...

If your vehicle accepted the programming codes, then it tells me that your vehicle sensing is working and that your remote worked at least during that period.

Whenever, you change batteries in a remote you should clean the battery and remote contacts with a pencil eraser to get rid of an corrosion.

2007 cobalt remote starter opens doors but does not start car

Ok help me understand this. When you say "remote starter" are you refering to the Keyless Entry remote. Assuming your car is equipped with remote start from the factory, if you check engine light is on the remote start is disabled. Is your check engine light on? Do you have multiple Keyless Entry remotes? See if the other one works if you do? It is possible that perticular button on that remote is not working while others are working. You will need to replace it at a dealership.

2006 Chevy Equinox

Hiya...the factory-installed keyless remote control are installed in most Equinoxes IF SO equipped with this option that year.
However, it's difficult to get "true factory-installed" keyless feature in your Equinox ....but new 2008-2009 Equinoxes built this year now comes with standard keyless remote and yes, new option is remote STARTER feature (that option is identified by a black wire found inside the rear-right quarter window with thin metal line surrounding that interior window to receive signal from remote starter fob)

At least you can find after-market keyless remote control at your local retail store.

I disconnected the battery then hook it back up and all was okay again, that simple!!
I wonder what they would of charged me for that at the dealer?
