Question about 1997 Pontiac Bonneville
Ok I have a 1997 Bonneville 3.8 no turbo. So this car used to run like a champ. best car i ever had until one day it turned off goin up a hill. we have the tranny rebuilt just fyi two months earlier. so after tryin to fix the problem for several months we came to the idea that the power windows which are very slugish and sometimes dont move were shorting something out. we have switched the fuel pump in the tank and several other tries later still nothing. Then we cut off the tail pipe infront of the CAT and it drover 20 miles and turned off. It dont stall anymore (unless you try to use the windows) but i can sometimes mash the gass spin tire and everything but othertimes it will cough and i can only get it to go about 30 mph..... any ideas????? please help me out. Thanks in advance

No the stalling is caused by something else like a dirty fuel filter of bad fuel pressure due to a worn fuel pump. With a bad O2 and MAF sensor the ECM will go a on open loop mose for those sensors causing bad performance and gasmileage. Replace the O2 sensor and try cleaning the MAF with MAF cleaner and check the wire harness, look for any damages to the wires and replace if needed. As for the stalling, try replacing the fuel filter first and we can go from there. Keep me posted, be glad to help get your car running 100% and save you some money the same time.
