All you need is the belt. The plastic covers over the belt only have loose fit oil seals so there is no need to change them,
Take your time and mark obvious points with a dab of white paint so that it is easier to get it all back inline.

How replace timig chain in accent dohc

should be 1.6L engine. easy to replace but is a belt not chain. unless you know how to line up camshaft / crankshaft, I'd pay for the labor. full kit on RockAuto.com is about $50

remove front right wheel, unbolt engine mount top passenger side, loosen accessory pump at top, remove timing belt covers (upper & lower), replace belt and idlers from kit.
to reassemble....reverse steps.
yes, it is that simple BUT not for a neophyte. inspect original belt before replacement, if no cracks, I'd leave alone. mine had 145,000 at replacement and was still good.

Hey guys I need to get changed the timming belt on my hyundai accent 1995 and I can do it myself but don´t have the timming marks diagram, can you please help me?

if its a single cam the marks should be on the backing plate and if it is twin cam the two marks should face each other on the compression stroke of the number 1 cylinder and the same goes for single cams line the mark up with the backing plate in the compression stroke of number 1 cylinder.

Timing belt replacement for 1996 hyundai accent

You need to get a manual. Try the Haynes manual for your car. Try autozone; generally available for around $20. This is not the type of thing that can be covered here in enough detail to do you any good. You need a picture.
Buy new timing belt. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove timing belt cover. make sure cylinder #1 is set at TDC. making sure all components are properly aligned and loosen pensioner to remove old timing belt. Install new timing belt. Tension belt, ensure all components are aligned properly, replace timing belt covers and reconnect battery.

I need to see a diagram of how to change a alternator belt in a 2003 accent hyundai

Do you have a digital camera? Take pictures of your engine bay, especially the belt routing and save them to your computer for later viewing.
Next push down on your belt with enough pressure to see which pulley arm moves. This is your tensioner,if you put a box end wrench on the bolt of that pulley you can push down on it and release the tension on the belt for removal.
Then look at your pictures as to how the belt was originally installed. You'll need to move that tensioner enough to replace the belt. After replacing the belt make sure it's on 100% before starting the engine.

Timing belt snapped

hi from uk the cambelt timing marks for accent 1.3/1.5 petrol are as follows= the cam cog has a hole drilling between the outer toothed and the central securing bolt this hole at TDC number 1 cyl is at top central and lines up with a V cut in the cyl head at rear of cog ? the crank cog at TDC number 1 cyl is a pop mark on both the cog and on thefront face of engine quite noticable ! these line up and are at approx 12 -30 pm when viewed fit new belt from crankcog in anticlockwise ie crank then cam then tensioner HOWEVER! if you are considering just replacing belt and tensioner ? be warned this engine is an interferance engine that is to say if belt fails whilst driving there may/will most probably be damage to the valves (bent) due to contact with pistons so would advise caution and suggest compression test all cyls after fitting new belt and tensioner and before rebuild completely once valves have bent they will not contact pistons again but you will have serious missfire/s and probably back fire up inlet manifold coupled with failing to start if engine is high milage ? consider removal of cyl head and check? de coke and replace damaged or best all valves then engine will have improved performance and more milesin future hope this helps

ERROR CODE 0340 AFTER TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT

Well either coincidence that the cam sensor went bad, you forgot to plug in the cam sensor, Or you have the cam that the sensor reads off of 1 tooth off. Check to see if its plugged in if yes remove the upper timing cover and see if everything lines up.

How Do I Change the Timing Belt on my 2004 Accent?

The timing belt is inside the valve cover. You have to remove the the valve cover gasket. Underneath that you will find the valves, the head (the top of the engine block). There is a pulley that is used to tighten the timing belt. The pulley is attached to the piston and valve timing. This pulley is usually marked as to where it should be positioned in relationship the timing of the pistons and the cam shaft rotation. This is what is referred to as stting the timing in the engine, and the timing of the distributor. Since your belt is broken the engine has lost track of its timing, so you might have to refer to a manual on your model of car to set the timing. You will also need to replace the valve cover gasket when you put the valve cover back on.

Volkswagon passat 4 motion v-6 timing belt

Your engine uses a belt, the shop most likely wants to use a timing belt kit, you should replace the cam belt driven water pump as well

This is the timing belt kit
ACDELCO Part # TCK297P {6 Components (1 Belt, 1 Tensioner, 1 Idler, 3 Seals) #19164609}
BELT KIT,TMG INTERFERENCE ENGINE APPLICATION; DOES NOT INCLUDE CAM. TENSIONER HYD. ASSY.; TIMING BELT COMPONENT KIT W/SEAL PRICE $167.79

This is the water pump
CARDONE SELECT Part # 5583414 moreinfo.gif PRICE $70.99

So about $150 for parts, labor should be around 3-4 hours, here is California the job would price out for around $600.00

The parts are from the lowest price I found on the internet, this is WWW.Rockauto.com
