Did you make sure the childs lock was not activated on that door? If it is, switch it off and try the window again!

Probably the regulator if you hear the motor running when you flip the switch with the key on. If there's no noise, try tapping the inside bottom of the door with a rubber mallet to jar the armature in the motor while holding the switch down or up. If this makes it work again, the motor needs to be replaced ASAP unless you don't mind driving around with your window down. HTH Wayne

2002 mercury mountaineer on e window not working

All the windows are on the same fuse, if the other windows are working fine, it's not a fuse issue. I susppect the motor or the window regulator.
With your ear close to the door panel, press the window switch up and down, if you hear the motor and grinding noises then the window regulator needs to be replaced, if you don't hear anything then the motor is bad OR no power is getting to the motor. either way you will have to take the door panel off and to fix.

Ever since I've had my 2002 trailblazer the back driver's side window won't go up or down. At times the window seems to fall down about an inch or so and I can full with the switch and can...

your window is driven using a cable drive system. kinda like bicycle brake & gearshift cables.
these systems are prone to break. i just wonder why it made noise for so long without breaking.
what you probably need is a window regulator assy.. napa sells them for $191.00 with a new
motor. the hardest part of doing the job is getting the door pannel off without breaking anything

2002 Ford Explorer, rear driver side door

Wil it work at the door switch or not at either switch? If not make sure you have power and ground to the motor in up and down positions. if so suspect the motor. Also the cable operated regulators break and will not let the window go up or down

You need to replace the window regulator assembly.
The cables that run the glass up and down have broken inside the regulator.

Hope this helps. A FixYa rating would be greatly apprecited.

Sounds like a motor, or a s stuck mechanism. Either way the door panel must come off and this is no easy task.
