CHECK INJECTOR LEAK DOWN. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE, PRESSURIZE FUEL SYSTEM BY LETTING ENGINE RUN FOR A MINUTE, SHUT ENGINE DOWN, AND OBSERVE FUEL PRESSURE. IT SHOULD NOT DROP BY MORE THAN 15-20 PSI IN A HALF HOUR. IF IT DOES PRESSURIZE FUEL RAIL AGAIN AND REMOVE FUEL RAIL WITH INJECTORS STILL ATTACHED AND LOOK FOR FUEL DRIPPING OUT OF INJECTORS. IF FUEL IS DRIPPING REPLACE INJECTORS AND SEALS.

2001 eclispe gt smells of gas, engine codes p0101, p0107

P0101 is the MAF (mass air flow) sensor that measure the amount of air entering the engine. Not enough air means rich running and a possible cause of fuel smell. Apart from running a little rougher there aren't always many signs that something is wrong.
P0107 is the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor and responds to changes in manifold inlet pressure (vacuum). Problems cause include hard to start, long cranking times, sputtering/missing, blowing black smoke, poor fuel economy.

Transmission

There are two types of transmissions in 1991 Toyota Corolla. Manual Transmission and Automatic Transmission.
1. Manual Transmission:
The transmission oil is checked through a level bolt which is provided to the left CV joint side in the middle of transmission. To check the oil level, park the car on a level floor, remove the level bolt with 22 mm or 24 mm spanner. If the oil starts coming out of this hole the oil level is considered OK. If not, top up the oil till it starts coming out and tighten the bolt. The recommended manual transmission oil grade is 75W/ 90W and total capacity is 2.4 Litres.

2. Automatic Transmission:
Warm up the engine, park the car on level floor, pull up the hand brake, gear lever stick in P, keep the engine start, let the radiator fan come on, take the auto-transmission stick out, wipe it with a clean dust free cloth, insert it in, again take it out, keep the stick in horizontal position and check the oil level. At operating temperature the auto-transmission oil level should be at upper level (Hot). If not, add oil to mach the mark. The recommended auto-transmission oil is Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Dexron II, and total (drain and refill) capacity is 1.4 Litres.

I have a Hyundai Trajet 2002 Gasoline. I have a problem with keeping the engine alive.

The engine is running very rich that is why the exhaust is emitting black smoke. The engine needs a tune up so the air fuel mixture is correct.

Will not start appears no gas

The most common reason a car will crank but not start and you smell gas is you flooded it. Too much gas to the engine causes too rich a fuel mixture and the fuel won't ignite.Click this link below for more troubleshooting :---http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2012/01/car-will-not-start-and-smells-like-gas.html

I have a 2005 nissan Altima 4 cylinder. My check engine light came on. I was driving on the freeway on cruise control and as I was driving say about 70-75 mph...it felt like skip in the engine or...

Have the codes read. As long as the codes are generic you can go to Auto-zone and have them read for free. but if they are specific codes then you will need a special scan-tool to read them. A reputable auto repair shop or dealership will have that type of scanner.
Honestly Test will need to be run, and you might want to take a look at the cars repair history it may need a tune-up and/or fuel and air filter.
Start your search in one area and move onto other areas. This will help narrow it down. It really could be anything, from fuel, clogged CAT, timing, Faulty sensor/s, and so on. Good luck.

Jeep needs to crank twice to start + rich gas smells once started

That code PO455 is indicating that you have a fuel vapor leak somewhere in the system. I'd check from purge canister back taking a close look at all the vapor hose to the tank. If all that check out, purge solenoid & canister would be my next area to check. That's probably what your smelling , so it might be easier than you think to sniff out the source.

88 camaro crank to start

SOUNDS LIKE A BAD IGNITION MODULE OR A BAD COIL. THERMAL EXPANSION COULD BE CAUSING A POOR CONNECTION IN ONE OF THESE COMPONENTS WHEN THE ENGINE GETS HOT. IF YOU CALL AROUND, SOME AUTO PARTS PLACES CAN CHECK YOUR IGNITION MODULE LOCATED UNDER THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP, HELD ON BY TWO SCREWS. TEST THE COIL UNPLUGGED ON THE TACH. AND BATT. TERMINALS WHICH SHOULD READ CLOSE TO ZERO WITH AN OHM-METER. HOPE THIS HELPS YOUR BOWTIE BACK ON THE STREETS WHERE IT BELONGS. LET ME KNOW PLEASE. GOOD LUCK.
