Question about 1994 Buick LeSabre
My 93 did the exact same thing ,Clean under the red plastic cover on the positive Battery cable at the Battery. Disconect it from the Battery and peel the red plastic back and with a wire brush and a scraper get all the white powder out.You can't see it untill you pull it apart. I have to do it about once a year. Hope this is your problem. A cheap fix.

First I would disconnect and clean both ends of the negative cable at battery end and at engine end. This may not solve your problem, however it will eliminate one possiblity and you probably need this done anyhow, most of us don't think about the other end of the ground cable when cleaning them.
