This is a pretty involved job. You will need some specialized tools also.
It involves removing the rear axles.
The bearings and seals are at the end of the axle housing.
On a DIY scale of 1 - 10 (with 10 as the hardest) it's about a 6 if you are comfortable doing major automotive work.
If you need additional information, and specifics, just let me know.

How do I replace drivers side rear wheel bearing on 2005 gmc sierra with drum brakes?

not very much info. 1/2 ton? 2wd? If it is a standard pickup there are "C" clips that hold the axles in. You will have to remove the 3rd member cover and remove the clip. This is after you have removed the wheel and brake drum. The axle will slide out and the bearing will remain in the axle housing.Messy job. Take it to your mechanic.

Need to replace the rear wheel bearing in the left

Replace them both at the same time. You\'ll need a shop press to get the old bearings off and to push the new ones back on. There are 4 bolts on the bearing cover behind the flange that have the studs on it that holds on the wheel. Take them out then take off the cover on the rear end. There is a horse shoe clip that holds the axle shaft to the gears. Remove the clips and pull the axle out.

Can anyone tell me if my F150 1987 is half ton or 3/4 ?

It is real simple. If it is an F-150 it is a half ton. If it was a 3/4 ton, it would be an F-250.

2000 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton. Sounded like a wheel bearing might be going out. what it is just broke and you can not turn the wheel without pulling hard. Checked Steering Fluid full pump not frooze up what...

Remove your belt and see if you can pull the power steering pump pulley off by hand. I have had the shaft of the pump break before and everything looks still good and fluid level still full. Then I removed the belt and the pulley and half of the broken shaft just pulled right out of the pump. The pump could still be bad even if the level is good. Lift front off of the ground and inspect your steering components and make sure your wheels turn freely.
