SOURCE: 2003 Mitsubishi Evo VIII - how do I disengage clutch?

Pertaining to disengaging the pull-type clutch from a 6 speed transmission:

Remove the rubber access plug from the front/bottom of the bellhousing. Insert a long flat head screwdriver into the opening to reach the pull collar at the pressure plate. Once behind the collar, twist the flat head screwdriver to pop the collar off the pressure plate.

ANY other method of removal will damage the ring and or the pressure plate.

Be certain during reassembly that you do NOT hit these components or damage may occur.

SOURCE: I need to know if the 4G63 in my 2005 Mistubishi

if it is the original motor, it will be a 7 bolt. 6 bolts are from the earlier motors (like 89-94). you can check the oil pan to be sure.

Are you sure it's getting enough gas? Try replacing the fuel filter, and see what happens.
