Question about 2000 Toyota Camry
I have the same problem and I was told it was the "knock sensor". It cost about 100 bucks an it is a really small part. I havent install mines yet so im not sure if it will fix it but when Auto Zone tested the car the meter said it was the knock sensor.

When a check engine light comes on you have to have someone plug in a OBD reader to turn the light off. One way you can do it is if you remove the negative battery cable from the battery for about 5 min to reset the ECU. This doesn't always work for every car. My suggestion is the OBD reader, it can also tell you if there is another ploblem not just the oil being low.
