Question about 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck 2WD
Replaced a bulb and socket on the license plate and all of a sudden the parking lights, daytime running lights and dashboard lights stopped working. i replaced the headlight switch and it didnt help. any ideas????
Sounds like you blew a fuse or 2. Disconnect the socket you just replaced , replace any bad fuses and check. If it works, be sure you are hooking the new socket up correctly.

The driver's side fuse block is to the left of the steering
wheel, under the instrument panel.
Snap off the cover to reveal the fuses. You'll find a fuse
puller clipped to the inside of the cover. Place the wide
end of the fuse puller over the plastic end of the fuse.
Squeeze the ends over the fuse and pull it out.
The Parking lamps and running lights and license plate lights all run off the same fuse, it is fuse 8c in the above fuse box
