The fob needs to be reset. If this doesn't work, drop into a place that fits car alarms, or if you service at a dealership, they ought to do it for free.
You will need the dealer to look at this, something is wrong with the programming here. My new car has a sensor that unlocks the door when i touch the handle as long as the key Fob in in the car with me, is this the case here maybe.
It could be your onboard computer or locking module, as the guy next door had an identical problem on his Megane. A tech came and changed a module then programmed the 'brains'.
hi i have a renault kangoo and my red immobilliser light keeps flashing and car wont start ,but a garage showed me a trick that he used for 2 years with his kangoo with the same problem, put your key in the ignition hold down on the keys central locking button as you turn on the ignition works every time ,car will start
sounds like its time for a new fob, try useing the key to unlock the door this should shut down alarm, if its the key fob chip your talking about then hope you have a spare if not, depending on the year may need to reprogram a new key fob.
there will be a combination of button presses required to reconfigure your fob to the immobiliser. you dont need to get it recoded so dont pay for it. try these:
hold the a button down for ten seconds until the light comes on constantly. then press it twice quickly and it will reprogram.
or press lock about ten times, then open ten times. this should work.
i had this problem on a rover and just pressing the buttons loads of times may allow it to be reprogrammed.
also check the battery isnt upside down in the fob.
