Does the cooling fan come on? maybe the fan not coming on put your hand on the upper radiator and the lower radiator is there a big difference, there should not be you got a new waterpump what about the thermostat, put a new one on. also replace the radiator cap it has to apply 9 lbs of pressure,so you need to check the cap or replace, also there is a wire that goes to the valve cover to the front is that ground wire attach to the front ? make sure that causes mysterious over heating problems

Always change the thermostat after every time it over heats.
And while you are at it, you should probably do a cooling system pressure test, to make sure you don't have a bad head gasket.

And make sure you don't have an air bubble blockage.
Let it heat up and cool down a few times, so that it burps all the air out of the system.

I have a 2001 Toyota Camry 2.2L that is overheating. I put a brand new thermastat. I tested new thermastat to make sure it works. I replaced the raidiator with brand new one. Car still overheats while...

Three places I'd check first:
1: Check for leaks, including the plastic pressure tank if your Camry has one. Small leaks can let the pressure drop without losing any water, but the lower pressure lowers the boiling point of the fluid, which sets up a cycle that makes the water turn to steam and actually get hotter because it can't circulate properly.
2: Check to make sure the water pump is working, or at the very least that the pulley on the water pump is not slipping. SImilar to #1 above, it the water isn't getting circulated from the engine into the radiator, it can't be cooled down.
3: Check for excess moisture in the exhaust. A leaky head gasket can cause both loss of pressure and steam buildup (ala #1 above) as well as pushing hot exhaust into the cooling system. Also, check for any foam in the oil, as this is an indicator of a head gasket problem as well (water mixing with oil makes foam)

If i just rebulit my motor put in new cooling system sencers and car is still over heating what did i miss

Raidiator, cap, water pump.Try the cap first cause if there is just the smallest crack in the rubber seal it will not hold pressure and cause it to overheat.

MY ACCORD HAS 119,000 MILES ON IT AND I HAD THIS WORK DONE ON THE CAR. 1. TUNE UP 2. RAIDIATOR FLUSH 3. TRANS SERVICE 4. BELTS CHANGED THE CAR RUNS GREAT BUT I AM BEING TOLD TO HAVE THE TIMING BELT CHANGED...

well that is how I always sell a timing belt job also. The water pump is driven by the timing belt and it is very labor intensive to replace. I always replace the water pump also because you have to remove the timing belt to replace. I have had people refuse the water pump, and have to spend the same labor dollars a few months later when the pump went out. Even if not leaking it is always good insurance to replace the pump with the timing belt but is not a must just good idea.

What are you going by to say it's overheating , temp gauge ? Have you test to see what the actual temp. is > Hook - up a scan tool ,what's the PCM - engine computer seeing for engine temp. ? 223 degress the PCM should turn on the cooling fan . You could buy a Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer With Laser Targeting at harbor freight ! Radiator very hot ????? What is the right temp .
Non Contact Infrared Thermometer With Laser Targeting

Could be a bad temp gauge . Is the coolant surging inside the cooling system ? Does it have a radiator cap ? Have you replaced it ?

What could make my 03 civic ex overheat and cool down then overheat again while losing heat inside??? Already replaced radiator, water pump, thermostat.... motor

your heater has apparently restricted the coolant flow....hopefully a good system back flushing will cure the problem....use a flush obtained from a parts house....I would buy the hose kit for flushing as well...good luck to you

My 1998 Honda Civic runs hot after A/C on for a while even though there is plenty of antifreeze in container. Replaced thermostat 6 months ago. What do I do next?

take it for a drive and when its hot feel both pipes coming out of the radiator.if both are hot then the thermostat and water pump is ok.then check if your fan is working.it should start spinning automatically when the temperature gets high without the A/C on.If thats ok then check if the radiator is clear in the front and that nothing is blocking the air from flowing through it to cool the water and antifreeze.
