Did you mean racing idle or high idle. if it is idling high then it has a vacuum leak. probably a hose under the intake tube going into your throttle body. If you dont inderstand what i am talking about you should take it to a mechanic. take a can of wd 40 or brake cleaner and spray around the components that have tubes or incoming air. when you pass over the leaking area the engine will bogg down. keep inspecting until you see the torn or cracked component.

Yes, it is all part of the pump and fuel sender unit that is normally mounted through the top of the fuel tank.
