Blower resistor is shot. It is located behind the glove box.

1995 Pontiac Grand AM SE. Heater fan works for weeks then won't go, try a couple hours later then it goes.

It sounds like the brushes on armature for (blower motor ) are worn. Sometime a bad spot on the armature from not being used often and also by being in the engine compartment where it is exposed to condensation. When the brushes stop at that particular spot, the blower will not start spin process unless it draws alot of current that may be why the fuse blew. You can remove the blower and examine or just make the change.

My 1999 Blazer has heat but will not blow air. The fuses are fine

I would check for a bad connection on the blower motor resistor. Its located on the passenger side mounted on the heat duct with 2 screws.Turn the ignition and fan switches on then wiggle and pull on the connector usally if the resistor has a poor connection it will comw on.These resistors get hot and sometimes they melt the connector causes it to loose its connection.

2003 ford taurus heater fan worked fine last night but won't come on at all today.

I do not understand why people will continue to operate a vehicle when they know there is an obvious problem. They ignore check engine lights until the engine stops running altogether and then are "surprised" when they get stranded in the middle of the expressway in rush hour traffic. Then they blame it on the car!!!

In your case, you have ignored the warning signs of your blower motor failing ("making noise for a couple months"?) and now you are dumfounded as to why your blower motor now does not work at all.....I don't get it....!???

REPLACE YOUR BLOWER MOTOR!

My 95 firebird with the 3.4 v6 motor, out of the blue, started running hot today and hit 250 on the dash.. i hotwired the fan cause it wasnt comming on even when the temp 210,thats why i done that,, and...

you might want to check the fan relay switch it out with one that you dont need tho run the car then if the car stays cool you know that its the relay. but if that doesnt solve your problem try replaceing the temp sending unit that controls the fan there should be to temp sending unit one for the guage and oe for the fan.help this help.

The fan works but no heat, when I parked it 2 yrs ago it worked fine

Ok, check to make sure the heater control valve moves when you move the lever to full heat. It would be rusted from being parked.

If that is OK, try draining the coolant, flushing the heater core by itself first with water, then blow it out with air. It is probably plugged. Then refill the system and try it again.

Rendezvous blower moter stops suddenly

It seems to be the Resistor in between the blower and the wiring.

The cooling fan is rubbing and the car over heats it i um plug the fan so how can i fix the fan

The fan shroud may be warped from the heat. If it is you have to replace the fan assembly. Just replaced mine today. Fan was $200 aftermarket. Job was relatively easy after removing the bolts on the long plate that runs over the radiator. Took around 2 hrs to do. -C
