I did some searching and found the proper kit and went in again, with the kit number in hand, I should be getting the kit Wednesday. I originally showed the part when I first went in but it is all good hopefully now!

I have a 2006 Mazda3. I noticed whenever my air conditioner or heat is on it makes a sound like a lawn mower when I acceralate. Any ideas of what this could be ?

Well, I think you can rule out the AC/heater fan inside the car. That would make noise even just sitting in the driveway.

Many/most vehicles are designed to run the AC compressor not only when the AC is on but also when the defroster is on. This is to keep the AC compressor lubricated through the winter months also.

It should not be a belt problem as that belt is always turning anyway which should then rule out the pulley bearing at the AC compressor.

I do suspect your problem is a major internal failure of the AC compressor. This can be easily checked by a technician [or yourself if qualified]. Locate the electrical connector at or to the AC compressor. Two people: With the AC turned on, in park, increase the engine speed so you can here the noise. Disconnect the AC compressor electrical connector. If the noise stops instantly, the compressor has failed. A quite expensive repair. Have a reputable shop locate a re-manufactured compressor for you. That will help some on the cost.
Bestaluckto you!!

Fuel pump wiring for aftermarket GM fuel pumps

When replacing fuel pumps in chevy or gmc trucks and suv's the aftermarket fuel pumps come with new plug and wire connectors. Which requires you to cut off the old pigtail and connect the new pigtail to the vehicles wiring, the reason the manufacturers of the new fuel pumps did this is to fix problems with the old style connector that was on the factory unit.

Need a used car yard where I can find the connector thats at the end of my compressor,.. its cracked and I cant afford the 200.00 for a whole new compressor

I would search the net for wrecking yards around your area. You might check with a dealer in your area to find the part. The discount repair shop explanation to you about the cost of repair sounds fishy to me. A new compressor costs more than two hundred dollars. After installation your system will need to be evacuated and then refilled with freon. Was the pigtail an electrical component? You should get a second opinion before you spend money.

How do i stop an ac compessor from siezing

if you mean temporaily then you can unplugged the electrical connector on the compressor, this won`t allow the compressor to engage.if you mean while you use it then there is no way to stop a compressor from seizing as it has damage already and will cause other a/c component damage if its not fixed.

The AC fuse blows when I turn on the AC switch. It does not blow when the compressor is un-plugged. There seems to be a fusible link or something in the pigtail connector of the compressor that has...

I would investigate the fusible link to see if it is intact. Sounds like a problem with the A/C clutch or compressor drawing too much current, which blows the fuse. It would be a open, not a short, unless the wire has power and is touching ground.

Pigtail for ac compressor

The clutch is replaceable along with the pigtail. Check with your dealer to be sure you can get the pigtail. The clutch should be available at any parts store.

Try to turn the compressor, if it don't move it could be the cause of the failure.

1997 Eagle Talon AC button switch blinks AC won't work

If the button is blinking, this means the clutch is either worn out, or the clutch is not engaging because of an electrical problem. Check the electrical connection going to the AC, does it look alright? Is there any fluid inside the connector? I would replace the AC compressor if the clutch persists to not engage.
