I have a 1997 blazer 4door had a new fuel pump & filter put in it now it gets hot shuts off & u cant hear the pump come on after 20 min it will start up & run fine thank you for your time

I had a 1997 s10 4*4 with the 2.8 v6.
mine do that I had to pull the gas tank replace fuel filter plus had to take undo the line from the intake and blow air thru it. Make sure all u're filter are replaced and y u have the tank down replace the fuel pump. I hope this helps u
Fuel pressure regulator probabaly flooding it when you turn the key forward it primes but the regulator just dumps to much fuel into the cylinders flooding the plugs pull a plug out after you try starting it if it dont start and see if there full of gas
could of gotten dirt or debris from the gas station tank in your vehicle. try replacing the fuel filter and adding fuel stabilizer to your tank. The fuse should be in the fuse box. look at your owners manual for the exact location
Check for fuel pressure and check for spark during the no start condition. Also check the crank sensor, it is located behind the crank pulley mounted in the engine block on the 4.3 L engine I hope this helps.
Have you checked/tested the fuel pressure? sounds like a bad pump and or plugged fuel filter, check the pressure, if it is low replace the filter, if that still doesn't help you will need a new fuel pump, it is located in the fuel tank.
