Hi!replace the crankshaft oil seal.most of nissan's vehicles use timing chain so just remove the drive blets and the crankshaft pulley.use a screw driver to remove the old oil seal. install a new one.guaranteed the leak will stop.

My 1998 nissan senta has good spark and fuel pressure, maf sensor is good...all have been checked...car starts, idles rough but dies immediatlely when depressing gas pedal slightly?

ok you should check your electrical connections at the distributor, coil and alternator, then check for vacuum leak around the intake manifold, check your egr valve for leak sometime you have to change the gasket on the egr valve, check your air filter, check the fuel pressure, check your compression, check your timing chain and you cam lobes

Oil leak. I was told it was a front seal leak. is that expensive to fix?

not really just take front tire off remove the belts you gonna need a 36mm socket to remove the nut that holds the pulley from the harmonica balancer you need to keep it from turning the seal is behind there good luck

How reliable can i make it 40 miles a day three days a weeek 150,00 miles with a slight leak form rear seal how long

I would suggest you get that taken care of right away, if that seal goes all the way in can cause some really expensive wear on your engine

Power steering leak

The Crank Seal is Part of the Motor Not the Power Steering Pump. You can take your Truck to the Car wash and Clean the Motor Really well While RUNNING. And then just Drive home. You will be able to see exactly where the Leak is Coming From. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

1998 nissan sentra cranks but wont start parks but no fuel.

Just had the same problem. replaced cap rotor, plugs wires..etc. still would crank no start. i got really angry with this so i went old skool on it, and treated it like my 1975 chevy one ton.  I hammered the gas and cranked it till it sputtered and eventually started. note: by pressing the gas to the floor and cranking will put computer in recovery mode and not let new fuel in to the engine. now it is able to try to burn all the left over fuel sitting in each cylinder. after about 45sec. to a min of cranking she started to come to life again. one other problem did come up. after blowing out all the extra fuel and ****, it did blow my pre-cat o2 sensor. no big deal $45.00 at checker. hope this helps
