Sounds like you have lost the ground for the headlights. Take a piece of wire and attach to a good ground and hook to the grounding device on the headlamp.

1999. Why wont it shift out of park and all electronics dont work except headlights after replacing alternator and battery.

Its not a GEO, its a chevy something,
1998 GEO name was dropped and now is CHEVY bla bla
what is bla-bla?

tell what you are driving, first
then country, trackers for example sold in both
usa, Canada and South America.
and are not wired the same !!!

this feature prevents moving car, until brakes are set. (by law here)

you blew fuses.... !id bet but....inputs are lacking. (said by you not.)

QODs (questions of the day)
0: do brake lamps work, oops if not. fuse answer.
1: when did last run and drive good, last week last year, when? why was battery/alt changed>?
2: are all fuses good (google how to test fuses)
3: does engine run now? start and run?
4: can you drive car? using the park lock out bypass button located on the shift console and is covered in your operators guide?
(tracker book)(a wild guess on what GEO means)

below is 2-31 in the 2001 operators guide, tracker.
this allows you to drive/tow, with park lock busted. slide this hidden lever and it unlocks.

How to fix no lowbeam headlights on 97 geo metro

did you check the HL fuses? x2
are both dead? or just one?
Highs work , right,?
would you like to guess, ?
or test? have a volt meter, and a schematic.?
DRL or non DRL system? (daylight running lamps).
2 systems, DRL is mostly in CANADA but no always,
when did they both last work, dont know, or last week>???
if dont know, why not test the lamps to see if they are good
using any 12vdc battery over 5amp current.
or use and OHm meter on the filaments, for lows. 0 ohms good
infinity bad.
to go father, we need what type HL system is on car.
DLR or not. DLR love to fail. for sure.

\1991 geo metro dim headlight pass side

in low beams or high or both?
that is caused by:
1: bad held lamp. old lamps can go dim.
swap left and right, if dim follows bulb, bingo weak bulb or wrong type bulb. buy matching blubs (same brand and P/n)
2: bad wiring to lamp. damaged wires, or connectors to same.
4: bad combo switch. (if low beams)
5: bad fuse or holder, corrosion , to either.
head lamp fuses. there are 2. left and right.
6: hackers, many hackers put in wrong lights. inspect it.

After jump starting 2006 Z4 BMW headlight low beams don't work checked fuses in glove compartment and under hood all seemed to be ok is there a relay, what do i do now

If the lights are switched then the switch controls a rely all lights are switched on bmw. Can use fog lights temporarily. Find rely test with continuity meter when on, disconnect lights first, then turn on lights switch, check for 12v at light bulb terms, if 12v then bulbs bad, if not relay is bad, test with continuity meter, rely should read 0 ohms when lights switched on, infinite open circuit when switched off. If lights work in manual switch pos then solar sensor bad.

Horn doesn't work, revrese lights won't come on, and 2 of the 3 break lights won't come on on 1995 Geo Tracker. Fuses are good and bulbs are good.

for how long, 1 day, 1 year , 1 decade? is it a daily driver
or a barn stored, winter car.?

the real question,is there 12v exiting the fuse, the acid test. that.
any volt meter does that in 5min flat.
3rd brake light is bad bulb or corroded socket.
what tranny< 3,4,5,sp.? but in each case it takes a good rev.
switch, if 12v enters said switch and does not exit, its bad.
0v bad,6v rev. path shorted to ground,12v good.
btw, all clamps can short, try 1 new one. in each path all by lonesome. dig?
bulbs good means what.
1: look good.
2: glow when placed on a 12v battery
3:measure 0 ohms with meter (means good or shorted.
4: or they are new and assumed good, (p/n ? what is the p/n?)
'
head lamps good.? parking lamps, blinker, are all other lamps working. does car start?

Geo metro 1990lights not working

FIRST CHECK FOR BURNT FUSES...IF OK CHECK HEADLIGHT BULBS OR SEALED BEAM....MAKE SURE THE CONNECTORS ARE NOT CONTAMINATED...(SOME HAVE GREEN LOOKING SUBSTANCE IF THEY ARE CONTAMINATED....IF THIS IS PRESENT REPLACE.....
IF FUSE'S/RELAYS/AND WIRING ARE GOOD PROBLEM LIES AT HEADLIGHT SWITCH.

My headlights all stopped working except the passenger dim how do i fix

Take out the bulbs and check them for continuity with a meter.

If they are OK then

Buy a 12v neon tester and check that there is power being supplied to each lamp by placing the crocodile clip onto a good clean earth and the probe tip onto the spade connector supplying the lamp

As the High and Low beams are individually supplied with voltage if there is nothing there then you need to go back to the fuse box and if they are OK back to the lighting switch itself

There is no easy way to do this
