Sadly no, this requires special tools and equipment. You will also have to replace other components as well as the compressor, and once replacement is made it must be filled with proper oil and the system must have a vacuum pulled it for a long period of time. All in all this is a job for a qualified technician with proper equipment, one can cause more damage to his system if he is not very careful.

To replace the condense of A5 VW Golf 4 cylinder air conditioner and change oil in pump

To change the condensor undo the lines and mounts and remove.Replacing is opposite proceedure. Replace the air dryer/ receiver at the same time. There should be no need to change the compressor oil as it moves trhrough the system with the gas and there is no sump as such.

I have a loud engine noise--somewhat high pitch whine--except really loud and only after so many rpms. The noise happens when I am running my air conditioner. Ten to 15 miles after I first noticed the...

So when you turn off the air con the noise stops ..
If yes then its the bearings in the Air Con pump which is driven by the same belt and when turning the r13 coolant around the bearings being dry and worn out will start to make the noise Same as the water pump does when it goes, but yours is Air Con Pump.

What do I have to do to change the a/c compressor are there any special procedures or can I take the old one off put the new one on and then charge the system with coolant I have a 1996 oldsmobile delta...

if old compressor fail your air condition has to be discharge at dealership or a garage that does ac repair.then the ac lines has to be flushed out before putting on new one. because old one when it fails clutch lock up or compressor fail.small metal particles get in line.stop up orifice tube.you will have to replace orifice tube the accumalator .you will need vacuum pump to pump down air conditioner .to get moisture out of system.you will need a manifold gauge set for air conditioner.ac tools are expensive.it would be cheaper to buy compressor - accumulator - orifice tube. take it to a good air conditioner mechanics.let him put parts on and pump down system.then charge it up.because buying tools to get ac going .is going to cost $475.00 thats the vacuum pump price.you can buy a cheaper vacuum pump that works from air from a regular air compressor you pump tires up with.manifold gauge set causes from $100.00 up to $300.00 for a good set.another thing you have to be familiar with working on air conditioners you put too much R-134 in system you will damage compressor or get seriously hurt.

Car stalling with air conditioner on

hello, it sounds like the ECT (engine coolant temperature sensor) is failing, the sensor communicates with your computer and has affect on fuel usage, it is common for bad sensor to allow too much fuel and cause cylinder flooding, this in turn will lower cylinder compression and cause miss, black smoke, check engine lights, easy too overlook without propper diagnostic equipment, easy too change and fairly cheap! good luck, marty

What can i do about air conditioner not blowing cold air

It could be the air conditioner pump or maybe the freon needs to be replaced in the air conditioning unit. You should definately bring it somewhere and have it looked at. You don't want to mess with freon at home. It has to be disposed of properly.
