If your car is a GM model, then the shaking is the pippen arm on the steering linkage. only way to fix this is to upgrade.

My car shakes a little at 70mph and drive a llittle rough. How can i get it to stop shaking and drive a little smoother??

Have the front tires checked for defects, a separated cord inside the tire will cause this. Also if the tires are OK have them rotated and then all 4 balanced.

What could cause my car to begin to struggle when i go over 70mph

55 is the speed limit, not 70. however, your timing belt / chain is worn or stretched , your killing your engine, it will get worst, until its replaced.

Has a shake in the front end shakes then stops then shakes again only at hwy speeds around 70 mph

Looseness in the front end or a tread separation in the tire. This is extreme but you get the idea if there is a bulge near the side of the tire even a tiny one

Front end shakes after 58mph just had wheels balanced and was worse after. Used to drive 70mph with minor shakeing

The shaking is comming from your front end not being aligned. Take it to a shop that has the machine to do that task. Hope this helps.

I loose power when reaching 70mph it drops to about 56mph and then picks up again, but I still can not get over 70mph

If the vehicle is fuel injected it could be one of the injectors, does the car shake really bad before it stalls?

One of three items is giving you this problem: 1. bad tire (broken belt etc) 2. bad wheel hub bearing 3.binding brake caliper
