Any change in width will affect performance and handling. If this does not matter to you, why drive a Viper?

Removing the windows on a 1994 Viper

The 1994 Dodge Viper RT/10 comes with side curtains, not windows. That is they are a see through plastic material sewed into a metal frame structure to allow for all weather use (not!).

Start by opening the door and locating a thumbscrew against the frame of the door post. Unscrew the thumbscrew and remove. It should have a rubber retaining lanyard to help you to not lose the screw. Once the screw is removed, push the window curtain toward the front of the car and pull up. There are two metal pieces that go into the door and latch onto a post inside the door. Reverse the process to put the window curtains back on.
