Ignition Module I am trying to replace the ignition module, but am unable to locate on a 3.5 1997 Dodge Intrepid. Can you help me?

They don't have an ignition module per say.. You firing is controled by the PCM, which is the computer and is locater under your air intake box, which has to be remover for access. How did you come up with the idea it was a bad ignition module??

the ignition "control" module is internal to the engine control module. however the ignition coil is mounted right on top of the engine on the valve cover. don't forget to unlock the lock on the connector before unplugging it or you might break the connector trying to unplug it

Its under the hood on the passenger side in front of the strut tower mounted on fenderwell.

Codes p0351 miss and is goverened at 2800 rpms.


P0351 is Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction.
Possible causes: - Open or short in the ignition coil circuit - Ignition coil circuit shorted to ground - Ignition coil connector - Damaged ignition coil - Damaged PCM or
Possible solution - If damage, repair ignition coil circuit - Replaced ignition coil - Replaced PCM or ECM When is the code detected? The test fails when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Electronic Control Module(ECM) does not receive a valid pulse signal from the ignition coil.
P0351 Description: The ignition signal from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Electronic Control Module(ECM) is sent to and amplified by the power transistor. The power transistor turns ON and OFF the ignition coil primary circuit. This ON/OFF operation induces the proper high voltage in the coil secondary circuit.

Where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 2003 dodge intrepid?


Down on front bottom of engine block. Follow the spark plug wires to coil packs and ignition module. Then there will be two or three more wires that run from there down to the crankshaft position sensor.

Ignition turns but wont start it gets fuel but does not fire


The ignition module is generally located on top of the ECU for distributor cars. For distributorless ignition cars, the ignition module is usually inside the coil pack.
