My 1996 chevy blazer will start but it wont excellerate past 15 miles an hour and my engine light is flashing.

You will not be able to go any faster when the engine light is flashing the computer of the vehicle has gone into protection mode.It will not allow it to go any faster. When the light is flashing it means their is a potential danger of damage to the engine or transmission and the computer goes into protection mode.You must take it to a garage and get the computer scanned and the repairs made and the computer reset after the repairs are made. Do not drive this vehicle at all it would be safer to have it towed so you don't cause more damage to it

Check engine light flashing in 2006 chevy hhr
If it is running rough & no check engine light on then the first thing I would to is tune it up. If you have a check engine light then pay someone to diagnosis it & go from there. Usually when the light comes on there is a more promenient issue; that is WHY the light continues to flash.

leaking fuel injector. if the engine light is flashing for sure. pull a plug out after a short run, soaked in gas, the spyder is bad. 1996 your there, just did my 95.

I have a 2003 Chevy ZR2 Blazer and when i get over about 40 miles per hour the service engine soon light starts flashing what could that mean
There is to many things that can cause that issue from engine to transmission. If there is an Auto Zone around your area, have them scan your Blazer for the DTC codes.
They scan free of charge and can give you the recommendation to what issues needs to me addressed. Keep me posted with your DTC codes, be glad to help you get your Blazer running 100% again soon.

I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer and the gas gauge is broken. Do you have any idea how many miles the car can go on one tank of gas?
I beleive you would have a 17 gallon gas tank, so if you get about 15-20 mpg, I'd say between 250-350 miles. I'd go with the 250 to be on the safe side.
