I have a 96 Honda civic lx....none of my windows will roll down. I have checked all the fuses and relays, I'm not getting any power to the driver door.......also my power locks don't seem to be...

This is an easy fix and very common to civics. When I bought my car it had the same exact thing and I bought this part (plug) at the junk yard for 2.00 dollars and you can start by removing the driver side fender and you will see a black rubber that covers the plug with all the wiring that runs too the door cut the plug off and replace it with a good plug with the one your going too buy at the junk yard you can use tape or anything that wont make contact with the other wires but what sucks about it is that you need too do it one by one and just match the wire colors together and good as new hope this helps!

Stuck crank window, drivers side, 97 honda civic

1996-00 Civic 2-doors had a problem with the front windows binding or coming out of the run channel. The window regulator needs replaced and the rubber run channel needs inspected for damage and to make sure its properly seated into the window channels. note: make sure you install the window crank in the 10 o'clock position, so your not tempted to use the window crank as a door handle to pull the door shut. This can break the crank and/or the regulator. -Hope this helps:)

96 Honda Civic 4 door sedan back passenger window doesn't work with master switch on drivers front door but it does work with the button on the back door. Also front passenger window doesn't work at all...

the wires at the door jamb connector get brittle and crack and break, causing all manner of oddities. and it can certainly be intermittent. like your window rolls down with the door open, but does nothing if the door is closed. wires may need to be repaired or replaced with that molex style plug/connector in the door

Driver's side window regulator

I just replaced the regulator in my mother's 98 civic ex and didnt need any special tools. I do recommend replacing the glass run channels on either side of the window. I have replaced the regulator twice and it is still having problems as I haven't replaced the run channels. If not replaced very soon I can see myself replacing the regulator...yet again!

1996 honda civic lx passanger power window problem

I had this problem as well as 33 others I've spoken to online. The main floor harness runs thru the drivers side front fender and plugs into the drivers door. The harness in 1996 civics are an inch or 2 too short so after a few years a few of the 25 thru 27 wires in the plug #C556 either break off or pull out of the plug. Since the drivers door contains the master power window and lock switches and the power mirrors can also be affected it can seem like everyones problems are in different parts of the car but they are all part of the same default. So I went to ebay and purchased a floor harness with full power options and installed it myself. Until my part came in I just went to a junk yard and cut off a good plug then spliced it into my existing floor harness. Hope this helps. It took me 4 months to figure this problem out!!!
