I have alarm problem with my 2002 Volvo S60. The doors lock and alarm set successfully but within 10 minutes to several hours the alarm will sound. The remote will disarm the alarm but the dash light continues to blink (slowely).

Most likely it is your siren module located in the right fender well behind the liner.

You'd have to remove the front wheel, remove the screws for the liner and pull that back, the module sits right above it in the fender area and it is held in with one sheer bolt that you'd either have to drill out or use a dremel to slice a slot into it to get a screwdriver to remove it.

SOURCE: Hood a jar keeps going

have you been in accident lately? you can reset the cars computer by disconnecting the positive side of the battery for 10minutes. be sure you do not need code to reset the cars stereo! if no code needed, reset your computer. be sure to have keys in hand when you do this. you'll need those to gain entry into your vehicle when system is reset. also make sure you push in on car hood release after you shut your hood. this may help you. thank you for choosing we are here 24/7 7days a week!

My alarm keeps going off on my c30.I saw on a forum it could be wifi setting it off, I moved my car but it's still been going off all night. It's not the horn alarm it's the high pitch alarm. Help?!

try making sure the heater air grills are closed as air movement ie windy night ,could set of some alarms , i'd also check for voltage drop as this will set alarm off , also check battery holds the charge as may disperse just enough to set alarm off but not so much to be a problem when starting , YET .

Anti theft alarm going off every time we open door! car starts just fine, but alarm keeps going off for about 3 min, then stops until we open the door again.

Hi Yolanda, my name is Al I'm the owner of Big As Auto Repair, check us out at Here is what most likely happened. When the tow truck driver opened the pass door with his tools, he most likely unhooked the alarm switch that hooks to the back of the door switch. If you know someone who can take off the pass door panel they can push the switch back onto the back of the door switch, provided he did not break the switch itself. In that case you'll need a new switch if it is broken, if it is not broken simply plug it back in and you should be fine. If you don't know anyone to remove the panel then go to my website and call me from the number on the website and I can guide you through the process. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Yolanda. I have a 57 civic hatchback and for no reason the alarm keeps going off randomly mainly at night. Some nights is fine but once it goes of I can set the alarm watch it from inside for a few minutes and it...

Does it do it with internal sensors disabled? Not familiar with your car, but handbook should say how to do it, either by button inside, or certain key fob press technique etc.

if not, the issue is with the internal sensors.

if it does, then Check boot and bonnet and door switches for poor contact, movement, bad connection and power supply.

1957>??? really?

all alarms are a box with a processor in it, a computer, or puter.
the alarm brain.
so like all computers, garage in , nets you,? garbage out.
called GIGO, in the business.
on newer cars 07+? they will tell you what is wrong, using a scan tool
but many old cars , (my big beef) will not. (best is to kill it forever )
(imagine, all 6 billion cars on earth all with false alarms, a world H3LL that , huh) mines off all the time. nobody listens to them. ever.

fixing old alarms with out my special tools is very very hard.
if lucky , inspect all sensor wires, then replace all switches.
old switches fail and for sure 1957 LOL !!!!!!
in my shop I have a voltage (and others) data logger.
i can connect my logger up and then beat up the doors.
rattle them, even drive and see them mess up.
it logs to a flash card.
old wiring and parts on old cars, all fail.
due to wear and corrosion or water ingress.

some alarms have shake switches, that can tip.
the FSM for your, explains all this if alarm is stock.
nah 1957 hand none. right?
the FSM book covers all tests of the alarm.
get one.
if car is not really 1957
then login to and see your stock alarm
if not stock , then post all sticker data on side of it.
or photo it and post it.

tell more get more ,like WHAT CIVIC EXACTLY, there are sub models.

Fuse diagram

It may be easier to just disconnect the battery at night. You could even buy a disconnect switch.
The siren is powered by a 10 or 15amp fuse number 12, but you would still have the hazard lights flashing. That is a different fuse. The actual keyless entry and alarm module gets power from several sources.

"Factory Alarm keeps going off" No matter how many

There is a good probability that you have the PRESTIGE alarm. There is a hidden microswitch somewhere around the left kicker panel. It is also called the "valet" switch. It will disarm the alarm, but still allow the remote to unlock the doors.

98 a6 alarm system keeps going off in middle of night, i have disconnected horn in boot for system but lights are still flashing. what is the easiesrt way to disconnect them from the alarm system

There will be water in the door microswitches, for the central locking.

This caused the alarms to activate when locked.

remove door panels on both front doors, you will see a little electrical switch near the door lock. remove and check for water ingress.
