I am needing a wiring diagram o a 1972 dodge charger s/e, 400, someone has cut and taped off some of the wires, on the motor, so some of the wires under the dash gets hot, my brother said he could fix the wires if he had a wiring diagram

Chilton manuals are the easiest way to go. They can be obtained through your local parts store (about $30 USD) and often at times come in handy for the typical DIYer.

Never have found good wiring diagrams for stereo's. Bought them and color codes didn't match. I have mitchell and alldata at work, they don't match. I wire them in with a volt/ohm meter. I find B+, Then hook ignition the the heater control wire. Ohm out the speakers. Thing is, you have infinity. You'll have to find the amp and cut the speaker wires and patch them there also, first. Just a note.. All speaker wires are twisted/paired wires. Cut the tape back 4 to 6 inches to find them. Another note. The speaker wires from the stereo to the amp will be a set of colors. From the amp to the speakers will be different colors.

Doubtful, trace wires from speakers using test light, does new amp have coaxial connectors? you may have incompatible model, probably need to match amp with new head unit, worst case you can rewire speakers directly to amp, use new wires, leave old wires in place just cut ends and put tape over.

You need a wiring diagram or at least match up the cut wires,solder & heat shrink them
Then diagnose the motor,switches,etc
I buy factory wiring diagrams for all my vehicles I never approach the vehicle without them One quick check of what does work,then into the wiring manual
You can not repair something you know nothing about, need reference material
Get a tester light the type with an alligator clip and a sharp point.
Check each wire for your brake lights,blinkers etc.
i.e. With the blinker light on find the correct wire and splice into it with the corresponding light on the trailer. ( DO NOT CUT THE TRUCKS WIRE)
Remove the covering and twist the plug wires around it and tape or shrink wrap if you can.

I have a 72 amx, the two wire conector at the brake light switch down on the brake pedal is light green and pink and the plastic connector is brown and plugs into the switch at the top of the brake pedal.
