1996 Chrysler Cirrus. Car started fine this morning, this afternoon it cranked very slowly but turned over and I drove home, now all it does is click once when I turn the key. (The starter clicks)....any ideas?

Low fuel pressure or problem with spark plugs or crank sensor is got dirty and needs cleaning or its time to replace crank sensor.

remove and, clean your battery cable clamps then retighten and, test.
If your battery is too discharged "jump" it using jumper cables and, another car.

sounds like the starter. Id replace it and you should be fine. that is usually the frist thing to check when you just get one click noise.

bad batt or alternator could be why or you could very well have a ground some where

Crank sensor. Next time it does this spray some water on it and see if it cranks. Its by the crankshaft pulley towards front of car.

try checking the secondary ground wire that comes off the battery see if its loose or corroded might help

crank sensor seems to happen to alot of these cirrus

sounds like a blown fuse
