Probably a shorted reverse switch. This is usually mounted down on the transmission.

Take it to a dealer to have repaired so that nothing gets shorted out

Stuck in park, power windows don't work, reverse lights don't work dash doesn't work. keeps blowing 10 amp fuse for reverse lights.changed brake pedal switch didn't help

of course changing a brake pedal switch will not help in a reversing light problem
they are two totally different circuits
check for a damaged wire at the reverse light switch or bulb holder for the reversing bulbs for a dead short
as for the rest check the IGN fuse under the bonnet

Why do the reverse lights remain lit when the ignition is switched on and the suv is running. This happens in all gears. I removed the center console to look for the reverse light switch, and it seem

You may be looking in the wrong place. It is on the transmission. The switch must be pretty wimpy because it doesn't directly drive the reverse lights, but connects to a reverse light relay in the smart junction box. The relay could be stuck. Unplug the two wire connector at the transmission then turn the key to RUN and see if the reverse lights are still on. If they are on then the relay is stuck and needs to be replaced. If they are not on then the switch in the transmission is bad.

Reverse lights staying lit while driving

There is a switch on the transmission that is stuck. When the switch is depressed it will send a signal to illuminate the reverse lights, and when the switch gets stuck, the reverse lights stay lit. Clean the switch and the issue will be resolved.

Reverse lights wont go out

sounds like the reverse switch is stuck or bad. It is compressed when the shifter is in reverse. Follow the cable for the shifter and it should lead you to the reverse switch. When this is compressed it signals for the lights to be on so someway the switch is still making contact,

Car is stuck in Reverse

It sounds like a bad shift indicator switch on the shifter. Kind of a pain in the *SS to get to those console's get real brittle.

Hope you get it in gear!!!
