Hello from what you explained i take it theres no check engine lights on what it sounds like is a basic increase on your idle screw get somone to help push pedal down underhood look to see where gas cable pulls back when gas pedals appled have them release slowly now watch where it stops against a set screw that is your adjustment rpm range should be somewhere between 750-900 rpm depending on vehicle if this doesnt solve most likely tps sensor{ throttle position sensor} goodluck

Diagrams of the fuel line system on a 1999 Isuzu rodeo

the whole system. end to end,
which engine, and in what country? USA , Canada. or the Austrialian Holden Rodeo.>??
GAS OR DIESEL ?????
we cant guess engines here, we beg but only 1 in 10,000 say it.
making any answers wrong. or wild guessing.

if in USA are you
alldata.com has this. why not read it.
or buy the FSM book, and read that...
working book free, is hard, like super hard for any DIY work..

if MPI system, all have this year range (early)
a loop system.
there is no need for a diagram unless the car was bought as a basket case with missing parts. is it?
its just 2 pipes. one from tank to the fuel rail,
then the FPR returns the fuel to the tank.
a simple loop. (later in USA the EPA banned this loop, end story that)
there are like 6 to 8 pressure test on any MPI loop system.
did you read the FSM on that? its covered.

cranking pressure
running pressure
wot pressure (fpr tests) wide open throttle.
leak down tests (time to leak down)
shut test. (block return line)
injector balance tests.
and i do 3 FPR vacuum/pressure tests.... on all.....

each are vital tests to finding problems.

4 engines , just in USA>
not one stated.....

How much damage(if any) will putting in tranny fluid cause without the engine running??

Not sure why you ask the question. You probably check the trans fluid level with the fluid warmed up and engine running. If you have an Owner's Manual, check there for the procedure. If you don't have one, I suggest checking the level as I show above, then add fluid if needed in small amounts with the engine running, check the level after adding every SMALL amount (you do not want to overfill the trans. and stop adding when it's between add and full.

I have a 1999 Kia sportage, at first it acted sluggest. then when you put your foot on the gas peddle it would die. then started acting like it wasn't getting enought gas to the engine. We changed to...

have you tried the throtle control sensor. It is cheap and would have a lot to do with the issue you are haveing. It is right up on the top of the engine left side, easy to get to. Two screws, pop it off and on with the new one. Also throw in some Lucas fuel system cleaner good to keep up with that on a regular basis. Hope it helps!

Van won't stay running unless i give it gas. It clacks very loud and has little power. Brakes are hard to press down and stop. Runs rough and white smoke comes out the exhaust.

Head gasket has failed and your engine from what you have described will need to be replaced, the clack and no power indicates that your crank shaft bearing has slipped and your you have low oil pressure now throughout your engine.
Oil pressure is created by the crankshaft bearing and for you to have to push hard on your brake peddle to stop also indicates that your engine is low on vacuum caused by a blown head gasket.
Thank you for using fixya and sorry for the bad news that a new engine is called for to fix this issues.

Cannot figure out the firing order for my 1991 isuzu rodeo

Facing towards front of engine-number 1 is on passenger side front cyl of engine. Number 2 is front cyl on driver's side-number 3 middle cyl on passenger side-4 on middle cyl driver's side-5 on back cyl passenger side and 6 on back cyl driver's side. The distributer rotates COUNTER CLOCKWISE-number 1 cyl's sparkplug wire attaches to distributer cap connection closest to number 5 cyl.-to your right side of this plug wire on cap would go cyl number 2-then 3-then 4-then 5 and then 6. The firing order is:1,2,3,4,5,6

1999 4 cyl camry - was driving thru the mountains of pa, tried to pass a truck, felt something weird in the gas peddle, had a loss of power, sounds like there is a monkey wrench stuck in my engine getting...

Sounds as if something internal in the engine let loose. You could have a valve, piston, rod, or a bearing problem. All are major engine problems so you should take it to a good mechanic and have it checked.
