1986 dodge van stalls when put in drive idle fine gos in revese

This means that the ground circuit on the ECM is lost. When it is in park or drive the ECM has the system in a mode that is not active, when you put it in drive the mode changes and a loss of ground causes current to enter back through the sensors and the engine stalls.

My 2002 3.6 Dodge intrepid won't start after changing battery and driving 15 miles

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel. Also, check fuel injector pulse. Do testing with engine cranking.
Any applicable trouble codes?
Sometimes when battery voltage is lost some modules may have a problem, including your security system, but, you said you have already driven it. Your charging system work ok?

When the battery in the key stops working what can happen?

Sounds as if the van lost that code for the PATS(Passive Anti-Theft System) key. You will have to have it programmed again. Some well equipped key and lock shops may be able to do this, otherwise off to the dealer.

Hello I am having what sounds like a common thing but I can't be sure. The instrument panel has been intermentant for about for about 8 months now. Sometimes works for a day or three weeks. I am now unable...

sounds like you need to have the alternator checked, if it were the instrument cluster the van would still run, you may still have a problem with the cluster, but the running 2 miles and the battery going dead is the charging system, you may have two problems. fix the charging system first then worry about the dash.

2003 Dodge Caravan Battery?

Sounds like time for new battery, give it a full charge & have it tested, but have alternator checked as well, even though it appears alternator is o.k. because it runs, but just in case it's an intermittent problem with alternator
