Question about 1993 Acura Integra Hatchback

A/C Problems Could you pls tell me where the A/C clutch relay is physically located? Everything checks out ok on my system and the only problem I got is the clutch won't engage when switched on.

There is a low refridgerant pressure switch, and a high refridgerant pressure switch. Either can cut the power to the clutch. You will have to check the pressure in the system to know for sure.
The electrical part in the clutch could be bad. You could run jumper wires to the clutch connector to see if it will engage. If not, its the clutch. If it does engage, then more than likely your just low on refridgerant, and possibly have a tiny leak.

Hello, I have 2 problems with my son's '01 GTI VR6

You have to sensors one on the motor and one on radiator they could be faulty the other is a faulty relay check to find out where they are located in fuse box with the ignition on but car NOT started take out the relay then put it back in a noticeable click will be heard this is the relay activating and is ok The relays may be located under the dash or in engine compartment

The a/c system relay located in the relay box next to the battery, driver's side of the engine compartment.

1997 Jeep Cherokee A/C clutch will not engage, even when i jumper out the low pressure switch.

as one of the steps to repair you might want to check the a/c cluth relay located in the Power Distribution Center. That is a box located behind the battery. Look for the right label on the inside of the PDC box cover. Check that that the relay is ok. If it is ok check voltage in the terminals that receive the relay (the terminals that power the relay coil) while the ignition key is in the on position and the a/c switch is on and the blower motor is on. If there is voltage there, then check for voltage in the terminal receiving the relay that powers the a/c clutch. If there is voltage there, Check for voltage in the cluch conector, if there is voltage there, then the clutch itself might be bad. If there is no voltage in the PDC terminals that energize the relay coil and/or the clutch, then the wiring should be checked, including the fuses.

Do not have power to a/c clutch what can cause this

If the fuse is OK, the the A/C relay is a very likely candidate. This can often be tested by swapping with an identical relay from another system. If the fault moves with the relay, the relay is the problem. If the relay is OK, the A/C switch is the next most likely cause.

Ok hear we go agian 2000 ford taurs 3.0 lit no a/c when i jump the compressor with a jumper wire. it works fine and i checked the high side swtich it works fine and the low side works ok to.

There are 3 likely problems:
  1. system could be air locked; when recharged, its possible more air than refrigerant was pumped into the system
  2. clogged or bad expansion valve
  3. AC clutch is bad; although it will engage when you jump it, the clutch could still be bad preventing it from engaging when you turn on the AC

I need a wiring diagram for the A/C system for my 98 XJ jeep, so that I can see if the ground wire that runs to the computer is cut or damaged. I have tested everything on the A/C system and the ground...

Biggest problem you will ruin into is that a schematic will tell you that a wire exists, but not where it is. Most times, you need to locate the wire and physically check it end to end...One note though; I have never seen a wire fail inside a harness unless from a short and burn. Most times damage, chafing or disconnect happens at the free ends and plug connections. Sure the relay is good?
