Sounds like a front wheel bearing. Try this, lift up the front end, grab the wheel, hand on top and bottom. try shaking the tire. it shouldn't wobble. if it does, theres your issue. if its tight, try spinning the tire as fast as you can by hand and listen, chances are you'll here it. Good luck!

Rob, assuming this is a 4X4? Sounds like a bearing. They can vibrate, snap, clunk, all kinds of terrible noises or vibrations.
Axle u joints will also do this. Is it all wheel drive?

The control valves from the power steering unit lock in position at extreme angles. Either the fluid is dirty - replace it - or the unit is worn out - valves can be replaced separately and the unit refurbished. Or just buy a new unit.

The truck vibrates when turning

You could have a bad wheel bearing or out of balance front tire. Without the trailer if you go on a curve the outside tire spins slightly faster than the inside. If you notice more vibration going left, then the right tire is the outside tire.

Front End noise and vibration

Check the U-joints and axle baerings. But its most likely because the truck is in four wheel drive.
