Question about Chevrolet Suburban 2500

1 Answer

1995 Suburban 4WD...Power Locks don't work. Yet, I hear a relay clicking under the dash, when I press the lock/unlock switch. Any ideas? A mechanic was just working on the front/rear AC units, and I thought he may have removed a fuse, but don't see that in the fusebox. Thanks, Dave

just bought '02 2500 suburban and NONE of the power locks work, using the switch inside nor with the keyless fob. I check fuses and relays, seem to be ok. SOURCE: 1995 GMC suburban temp guage pegs high, but heater

Sounds like there may be an air pocket in the system.
Try 'burping' the system. If this still doesn't fix the problem, check the temperature of the heater core hoses (in and out) The inlet should be fairly cool, the other should be piping hot. If they're both cold; the heater core has an internal blockage.

Next, replace the thermostat with a winter (180-195 F) derivative.
Bleed the system accordingly, and keep me posted!

2004 KIA Sedona Power Door Locks won't work

Hello there,

Not A Kia expert here but this seems to be a VERY common problem

Lots of cases on the Web.

Have a look at this, It seems there is a \'module\' under the dash that goes faulty.

\'Okay, my 2002 Optima was luckily given an extended warranty because of the mis-stated HP on my model. So, 6 year warranty instead of 5.

Good, because at 5 years my automatic door locks stopped working. They would unlock fine, but when you pushed the lock button on the key you would hear a clicking sound but they door wouldn\'t lock. Sucks right!

So, I took it to the dealer and if it wasn\'t for the warranty, they would of charged my $100 just to look at the car. Damn!

So, they said the next day that the ETACS went out and needed to be replaced. Part # 95400-3C300. It is a control module of some sort under the dash.

Anyways, if your car is out of warranty and this happens to you, I suggest you order that part and change it yourself. Probably save yourself $100 because the part is probably $20.

It took almost a week for the part to come in by the way.\'

clicking is a relay energizing then switching of only to repaet the operation
from you description of dim lights etc
I suspect that you have a faulty ground wire for the dash , instruments or relay that controls those items

My power seats and door locks quit working.. when you wiggle the relay switch under the drivers side dash board it starts back working? Any idea what it might be?

Try checking the fuse box. The big top left silver box controls the locks, seats and keyless entry module. Could be a bad fuse. It could also be the wire connections that run into that particular fuse slot behind the fuse box.

My 19995 Grand Marquis had the exact same symptoms, but seemed sometimes if I would wiggle the fuse box just under the dash or release the parking brake quickly (which would shake the box) then things were fine for a while. Turned out to be the main ground on the fuse box itself where everything attaches. Good Luck!

Power locks don't lock or unlock hear noise under dash near glove box i was wondering if relay switch is no good.hear clicking noise in relay, when trying to unlock or lock doors

if the relay is clicking, its most likely working, sounds like signal from relay is not getting back to doors to unlock doors,I would check for damaged wiring at pivot point of door(hinge) area, all the wiring goes through a large rubber accordion looking tube, pull back one side of rubber and inspect wiring for damage
