We had the same problem with our 2000 lanos revving quite high when idling so we replaced TPS(throttle position sensor) but this did not solve the problem. Our garage has disconnected the stepper motor so that the revs weren't so bad but now we have problems when starting it in the after leaving it can anybody please help

Just been to a dealership that looks after Daewoos, and they used the engine diagnostics (Engine Management Light was on) and they have advised a new Stepper Motor (Cost £150 inc. labour).

Most likely a TPS (throttle position sensor) . Most likely you would have to have the dealer or a shop with a computer scan tool replace it.

i think there's an air leak in your brake booster. Just try to disconnect the vacuum hose going to your brake booster and plugged it use a vise grip to press it. The idle shld go down if there's an air leak

I have an '86 951. It will not rev above 1600rpm.

clean out the fuel pressure regulator with carb cleaner spray(a good clean ), then spray dry lube into it. This part is located on the fuel rail, sits at the front of it, has three connections/holes and fuel comes out momentarily after disconnection.

Sounds like a engine warming up and the choke opening without being allow thh reset the linkage. When it does that, tap the throttle and see if it drops to proper idle. choke may need adjustment for standing warm up. good luck
