o2 sensor replacement will not necessarily clear code . It may be necessary to use a scanner for that . O2 sensors are located after the cat converter and is not a heated unit as is the HO2S unit

2005 Ford Ranger exhibiting code P2270

According to my book, it looks like a bad O2 sensor, the sensor behind the catalytic converter on the passenger side exhaust.

Bank 1, Sensor 2.

You can pick one up at the parts store for around $75.

How many Oxygen sensors in Ford Ranger 1994

There are 2 O2 sensors on your Ford Ranger.  There will be one a foot or two before the catalytic converter and one a foot or two after the converter.  I don't have a diagram but you will only need to look for the identical sensor located up or downstream from the first one that you replaced.
