Maybe check the flex plate. I had a 94 concorde with a similar problem. Scanner said it was the cam and crank sensors. The flex plate can get a crack around the bolt pattern which allows it to shimmy when running. throwing off the cam and crank somehow as the mechanic tried to explain to me.

I feel the best option at this point ( for myself ) would be to have a diagnostic scan, conclude weather or not it is indeed the onboard computer. i'm done with the nickle and dime & guess work. if the scan pin-points the problem directly and proves to be benificial i'll update my posting.

i truly hope this will benefit all of us with the delema of the " no spark syndrome "

I have a 1991 GMC jimmy. Run fine until I pulled

sounds like the fuel pump is bad. check the fuel pressure with a gage is should be 35lbs. if it still won`t start now have someone try to start it while you hit the fuel tank bottom with something if it starts the pump is no good.

1996 honda accord won't start. drove 40 miles each way on friday and parked car .. first 40 miles was all stop and go traffice second 40 we took freeway all the way and just paid tolls, woke up sat...

There are several things that could cause this problem. First is when was the last time you replaced the fuel filter? Next thing you need to do is open your radiator cap to see if there is oil in your coolant and also pull your oil dipstick to see if there is any white stuff on the bottom of the dipstick. If either of these things are true then you have a blown head gasket. The last thing could be a bad coil or even engine control unit (ECU). Good luck.

tell individual working on it to check the crankshaft sensor voltage and signal when it wont start also check the fuel pressure and cam sensor, these are all possible problem with that particular car. it also has wiring issues that an expert tech would have to diagnose

Just purchased a 1996 4 cylinder auto trans. Drove it several times prior to buying it, drove it home with no problem about 50 miles. Would not start today, starter turn over but would not continue to run....

Take it to an autoparts store and have them connect a meter to the car. It will tell you what area the problem is in. The autoparts store can sell you a part to fix it.

Rough Idle

You might try going to your local auto parts store and purchasing some intake sensor or MAP sensor cleaning spray and clean your input sensors so theyll get an accurate reading to control your engine idle better. It may also be that your idle air control motor may be stuck or going out. These fixes will be much more easily facilitated if you go to your local auto parts store and purchase a Hains manual for your car and follow the step by step guide to reconcile this and other matters and redeem your car from an early grave. Good luck!!!

96 voyager stalls won't turn over after some time it goes

1- under the hood their is a two relays Fuel pump and engine cut off. locate both relays. Next time the vehicle will not start have someone inside the vehicle turn the key to start and if feel with your fingers the top of the relay and listen for the CLICK. It is possible that one of the relays is sticky. I would just replacement as they are only 10-12 bucks from most dealers and auto parts stores. If this does corrected the problem next time the vehicle does not start bang the gas tank with a sometime and try it again. If it starts after banging then you fuel pump motor is sticking

1996 Subaru Legacy No Power At All

Last night I checked the battery and it was still good. I disconnected and then reconn ected both terminals and that brought the power back. When I turned the key the power went out again. I repeated the procedure but did not turn the key. Instead, I took off the knee bolster and tried to wiggle the wires under the dash to see if I could find the source since it seems to be related to the ignition. Nothing cut the power so I started it up and it worked fine except for the check engine light which was flashing that says I have a misfire condition. I drove the car 25 miles to work this morning and will be taking it to the dealer for a better inspection.
