My check engine light came on ,so i took it to get it put on the computer and the code was 4101.Im trying to find the discription and where is it located 4101

Scan for any stored error codes and check the code discription. If no code is present suspect lack of fuel. Try cleaning fuel filters. If cleanig filters dont solve change the fuel pump

with light on you have a code in the computer that needs to be checked out to find the problem that turned it on. i think you can turn the key on then off then on then off then on for a 3rd time and leave it on and the code will flash the light(check engine light) there is a short pause between code numbes of the same code being flashed out and a long pause before the next code is flashed.if this is hard for you to do then some parts stores will connect a code reader and pull the codes for free.write down the codes and if it has a discription of the code this will help.

all codes for the Acura will start with a P and then 4 numbers they will look like this P0171, there is no 4101 code, re-check and get back with me and i will look it up for you.

All I am getting from your discription, is that you
have a code & a misfire ,you have yet to diagnose.

Except for replacing the wires, that should last the life
of the car,your doing okey

Even though you replaced the sensor, and the light went out, the computer still retains the original codes until the codes are cleared using a scan tool. It's possible the computer has put the engine in a reduced power mode because the trouble codes haven't been cleared.

First off, you should have removed the negative battery connector before doing any work like this. Try assembling everything back together, then check for any blown fuses and any obvious burned wiring. If the check engine light comes on, you will need to read out any codes with a rented scanner. Those codes will generally identify what is having a problem including the computer itself. Good luck!

O/2 sensers can cause this problem but don't have to be it. O/2 sensers look like a spark plug and screw into the exhaust pipe near where it hooks to the exhaust manifold. Using alot offuel can be high fuel pressure vacume leak (intake manifolds happen alot on these) and the cheak engine light code can be fond by turning the key from off to on and back three times leaving the key on the third time. The cheack engine light will flash out the codes 12 is start and 55 is the computer completed the code read test. Some models also tell the code and the basic discription on the odometer readout. With the code known follow code dianostics, and find the problem. Many auto parts stores will read the codes for you at no charg and give you a list of possible solutions. A vacume leak and the oxagen senser being bad look the same so don't jump to conclusions as the parts store is in bissness to sell parts not fix cars.

i have a 2002 300m and my check e light came on 2 days ago i ttook it to a mechanic in dallas and he told me it would be 500 to fix it so i took it to autozone to have them put the free dianostics test and it ended up being the gas lid not on properly they said it was common on this model they reset my battery for me and my light is still off today

The Cat code could have cleared itself if the computer doesn't detect a problem anymore. Fix the EGR problem as it is still active.

the infomation u were given is 100% wrong! if the light is coming on then a problem exists in the OBD 2 engine control system, there will be a fault code stored for the check engine light, who told u this the dealer??
