Needs fuel tank replacement-only fix for this problem-very involved job, recommend taking it to a shop to get done, not a DIY job

When tank is below 1/2 full the car is hard to start and when driving it seems to lose power. My check engine light does not come on.

the problem maybe a problem with fuel pickup at 1/2 tank, if the line has blockage, the filter is clocked up, the leveling or device that keeps track of fuel level is defective, there issue with the floater, the part that suppose to float has or full of fuel and when it gets to 1/2 tank, the floater full of fuel and sinks like your out of gas.
i think most likely clogged fuel filter in the fuel tank if your car has this type of system.
if not the fuel filter most of the time its near intake of the injectors, underneath the drivers seat under the car.
or by the inlet and outlet of the fuel tank.

We have a 1965 Ford 100 truck. The gas tank is behind the seat. It seems the gas is getting to the engine properly when we bypass the gas tank but not when the gas tank is hooked up. Any suggestions on why...

Could be an air leak in the tank. Or the fuel filter on the fuel float mechanism in the tank. It may be clogged. But that's a dangerous job.

Hope this helps.

Next to your driver seat there's a little handle to open the fuel door.

The gas cap dets wet and the light comes on

I just had a similar problem with a mustang.. The baffel in the gas tank had broken loose.. So the gas would slosh around the tank.. I could hear the baffle in the tank moving when i would go around corners.. WHEN I WOULD MAKE A RIGHT TURN THE ENGINE WOULD DIE.. ONE OF THE THINGS THE BAFFEL DOES IS KEEP THE FUEL PUMP SURRONDED WITH FUEL WHEN CORERNING..

I HAD A SIMILIAR SOUND ON MY 2000 GRAND PRIX, WHEN IT WAS NEW. THEY REPLACED THE EXHAUST SYSTEM, & SAID IT HAD BROKEN BAFFLES IN THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. FIND OUT WHERE YOUR CONVERTER IS LOCATED. MINE WAS UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT.

Well i have a 2001 S80 my AC is blowing cool on the passager side and hot on the driver side what can i do to fix it.

You will need to replace the Acuator for the Internal Baffle inside your dash for the Driver's side A/C vent. The Actuator is not opening or closing the baffle to give you hot or cold air.

Noist gas tank

It sounds like maybe the baffles in the tank have broken loose. If that is the case then you'll need a new tank.

Sounds like the baffles have come loose in the tank. The only thing you can do is replace it.

Gas leaking from on top of the tank

In the 03, the bottom of the back seat has two (2) spring hooks about 12 or so inches from the side (looks like this, o= hook _= front of seat bottom), (_o____o_). Just pull up on each one and the seat bottom will come up and out/forward. The seat back has a couple of bolts that you will see once you remove the seat bottom. Remove bolt(s) and slide the seat back to the outside. There are two (2) "windows" to the tank. One on driver's side that will be visible when you remove the seat bottom (and pull back the carpet and insulation, and one behind the seat-back on the passenger's side (this is where the fuel pump, et. al. is/are. Driver's side is just the second float. There is a wire and hose that connects the two floats, so you may want to disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical current in the tank.
