95 aspire I had spark, I used an inline tester to check. Had fuel...disconnected line AFTER RELEASE PRESSURE...fuel stream coming out, but didn't have enough pressure. Dealership tested psi too low. replaced fuel pump, filter, and car started, but bogged when accellerating in 2nd and 3rd gear. Took it back to dealership they said TPS (throttle position sensor) had bad spots measured with ohmmeter...resistance jumped around instead of changing smoothly as position is changed. Replaced, but still bogged and began idling rough after it warms up, also sometimes will start, other times just keeps cranking. Back to dealership they said computer is bad...replaced with rebuilt one from ford. Still same problem they replaced the TPS again. Back to dealership said checked vacuum..seems good, last thing they said was could be a bad distributor. $1400 later and still don't know what the problem is. Car might be eating TPS's. Might have leaky injector or fuel pressure regulator could be faulty...causing hard start. Not sure how to test yet. Dealership also said computer runs in a loop when its first running so that might explain why it starts chugging after it warms up...bad sensor to computer. any ideas?

Aspire will crank and seems like it wants to start but doesn't. I have replaced the ECU, fuel pump, fuel relay. Next is the MAF. Maybe the crank sensor is next.

fuel pump will also work but not pump. take fuel line off to see if there is any presher.be careful to cover your eyes there might be enough presher to satisfiey the line but not the motor. or check crank sensor this also tells the computor to start.

SOURCE: 1995 buick lesabre crank but wont start

It may be a crankshaft or a camshaft sensor that is stopping the ignition system. If you have a check engine light on, rent a scanner, read the code(s), and follow the indicated problems to repairs. Good luck!

Replaced fuel tank now tractor won't start. It cranks good but just won;t start.

Probably have air in the fuel line not letting any fuel getting past, it will collect at the highest point..
If you have inline filter replace with a drill pump to suck fuel along pipe, or to force fuel back to tank, you will also need to fill the part that is post filter point

2002 alero ran.shut off won't restart.Replaced fuel filter,now it gets gas,but still won't start.

For some reason aleros have this problem every once in awhile. It might be the security on the alero. What you would have to do is turn the key all the way to accel i believe right before you start it and let it sit for about 13 minutes. affter this the security will recognise itself and start your car

Motor turns over won't start. Cleaned terminals, put in new battery, still won't start. Removed gas cap to vent air on hot day, still won't start. Lights all come on, all electrics appear to...

Your problem may be one of the following:
First check or just replace the fuel filter. Usually located under the car in front of the rear axle, drivers side.
Next, the fuel pump may be worn out. Usually they get loud or stop working (running).
Next, check the fuel pressure regulator. Usually located on the front fuel rail, drivers side.
Is the vacuum line attached? Not leaking or rotted?
Also, do you smell a strong fuel odor when it won't start? May be one or more stuck-open injectors, or the coil pack is bad.
Checking these in the order listed will more than likely fix your problem.
The clicking noise indicates the battery can no longer run the starter, which also means the fuel pump won't run either.

It could be a fuel issue. How old is the fuel filter? Can you hear the pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key on? Try turning the key to ON without trying to start engine three times waiting for the pump to stop running each time. Then try to start the engine. If it starts, Its a form of Vapor lock caused by the extreme heat we have had lately, and a weak fuel pump.

If none of this works, try a new fuel filter first. From there have someone check the fuel pressure regulator and then the pump. If you are in need of a new pump, take my word for it and spend the money to get one from a Dealer, and not from your favorite parts store. Most parts store parts are made in China and they are JUNK.

My 1993 gmc truck wont start it cranks over but doesnt start

Are you getting fuel? if the pump is out then you won't get fuel and it won't start. Check for fuel at the throttle body under the air cleaner also pull a plug and connect it to the wire and ground it to the engine block to see if your getting spark. try this and let me know. I suspect the fuel pump since these last around 8-10 years before they just quit.

My 1999 buick turns over but won't start I had the ignition module checked & it was ok it appears that i am getting spark any ideas why it won't start?

It could be that your fuel pump is not getting enough fuel to the engine to start it. Is your starter turning over or trying to start the engine.

Won't start sometime

you need to determine if its a no spark or no fuel problem.check to see if you have spark at the plug.if so then you will need to see if its getting fuel.check this when it won`t start as when its working its pointless.to check for fuel you can spray intake cleaner into the intake when it won`t start,if it does then stalls when it has burnt what you sprayed then its a fuel problem.the pressure will have to be checked with a gage to get a proper reading.the pressure should be about 35 lbs.pumps are a common problem with this year.if no spark then you will have to find what component is causing the no spark.
