You have to have the serial numbers from the radio, not the car's vin numbers. they're located on the back of the stereo.

Have you tried calling you nearest Honda dealer?
Give them the V.I.N number of vehicle, they should be able to supply code if unit is original to this particular vehicle.

I've changed the battery on my 08 seat alhambra. And now its asking me for a code for the radio. I have searched everything ans everywhere in the car for it. Im lost without the radio.

Code numbers are originally supplied in the vehicle literature pack. The literature pack is intended to be kept in the car and the code numbers put is safe keeping away from the vehicle.

If you bought the car new the and didn't get the code or the literature pack the supplier didn't do the job very well and should provide the code free of charge.

If you bought the car secondhand from a dealer and paid top price for it you were overcharged if any of the original equipment including all the keys and the complete literature pack was missing.

If you bought the car privately then it would be worth contacting the previous owner and asking for the missing item(s). The supplying dealer might have kept a record of the code.

If a dealer has to apply to the manufacturer for a radio code they usually charge quite a bit of cash for the service.

There are specialists around who can obtain code numbers, recode or decode radios but these people also charge about half the dealer price.
There are internet sites offering a find your code service for a very low price but the radio will need removing from the car in order to note the serial and model number of the unit.

Good luck!

S/No for my radio is : AL6BDU V 08 63507 is it possible code is 63507, do not have manual

The code for the radio is not a part of the radio serial number. You will have to get the code from BMW or an online code retrieval service.

How do i enter radio code for 2009 honda civic

I just had this happen today when I jump started my car due to leaving my head lights on. Call the honda dealership you got your car from, or if you bought it privately just call a honda dealership. They will tell you to press and hold the pre-set buttons 2 & 6 and it will give you a number, they will type it into their computer and they will be able to give you the code. You have to use the pre-set buttons on the radio to enter the code. That will fix the problem... If you already entered to many wrong codes it will not allow you to enter anymore... You will have to either wait an hour and then it will reset again and let you enter the code or you can disconnect the battery for 5-10 mins, reconnect it and then the radio will reset and ask you for the code again. Good luck guys!

What is the radio code for the 2002 Honda CRV. We just replaced a dead battery and now the radio does not work. Very Frustrating!

Three ways to get the code.
1.check the glove for the code, there might be a white sticker with the code on it.
2.with car on and radio off. hold down 1 and 6 on radio and turn radio on while holding down 1 and 6 down. If you're luck, the radio will show you the audio SN#. The first half of the SN# will be display first and the second half will be display next.
3.you will have to remove the radio. The SN# printed on a sticker on the radio.

call your honda dealer and give them the SN# and they will give you your audio code.
good luck

How do I reset the radio code

call your honda dealer on a 2001 you hold 1 and 6 down and the two codes show up then call that to the dealer and they may require some registration information but they can get the code that way. If you cant get the radio 8 digit codes you may have to remove the radio the numbers are on the radio and you call them into honda parts and they will get the code after you give the ownership info.

Need code for car radio

Hi,

If you bought the car originally from a Honda dealer, there is a way to obtain the code for free as Honda are one of the few manufacturers to provide online support to customers on this issue. Your original purchase of the car must be through the Honda network for the online help to work though.

For more information on this please view this FixYa Tip

If you bought your car privately or through a non Honda dealer, the other option is to try your local Honda dealer directly for the information. They will require the radio serial number. To get this press buttons 1 and 6 at the same time. The serial will show on the display after a few seconds. Many Honda dealers will provide the information for free over the phone unlike other manufacturers.

Hope it helps. Thanks for using FixYa
