Question about 2007 Nissan Murano SE

1 Answer

Air condition i've had this murano for about a year and for the past few months the a/c has not worked properly. when we start the a/c it doesn't start to come out cold, just cool air and for the most part it takes about 10-15 min. for it to shoot out cold. we called the dealership about this but said they would charge us to diagnose it. what could it be?

Didn't you buy certified car from dealer ? If your care is certified and has bumper to bumper warrantty then they should not charge for diagnose, infact they should fix it without any charge.

Install new spark plugs, 4 new coils & replace the oxygen sensors

O2 Sensors are only good for 100,000 miles, then slow
down or quite

No idea why the coils do not last 5 or 6 years

Cylinder #1 is always at the front on a 4 cyl

Go to Rock Auto --Buy Wells Coils,NGK Double

Those parts are expensive because you have a Totota

The last few years I've experienced problems with

First try replacing the Relay for the system. If that doesnt work check/replace the pressure and temp switch on the drier. The 124 body style have issues with A/C overall so dont be too frustrated. Also in the short term try turning the temp wheel to max cold (blue dot) and restarting the car. Sometimes it will force the relay and compressor to lock on while driving. Also be aware if your Aux Electric fans dont come on the system doesnt get cooled properly and will not stay on.
Good Luck.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
Looks like that you have a failing IACV (idle air control valve). If the IACV is faulty, the vehicle tends not to start or may stall during operation. I suggest that you have the vehicle scanned to know exactly what the fault is. Though I suspect that it's the IACV.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

In one month my tackometer, fuel guage, horn, and air conditioner went out. I've had it to two general mechanics and one air conditioner shop and all have failed to figure out what is wrong. I...

A "general" shop or mechanic will usually not be able to troubleshoot or diag. the problem, due to the lack of proper testing equipment needed...Most likely you have some BCM fault errors occurring and it will continue to get worse, possibly even to the point of a no start condition.
Good luck, i hope this helps.

My a/c is not working properly. It seems like every few months it stops blowing cold air and for about 2 weeks it blows hot air only.

That could be a variety of problems. The first thing you might do is this. When it isn't working, open the hood and see if the clutch on the A/C compressor is cycling. If it engages and disengages while the air conditioning is on, that would indicate that the problem might be ducting or another issue. If the clutch doesn't cycle, one of the first things I would check would be to see if there was power to the clutch when the A/C is turned on. It would be helpful to know what your vehicle is, such as year, model, and if it's equipped with Automatic Climate Control like many Buicks are.

93 chevy suburban v-8 tbi hard to start, but starts, will run but will not idle, can keep it running or driving as long as you rev engine constantly. Holding engine at half throttle it will slow and die. ...

Assuming your engine is in good mechanical condition, there are only a few options.

1. You may have a vacuum leak.
2. The pickup in the distributor may be worn to the point that it is sloppy at idle but normal at higher rpm.
3. Idle control valve/motor may not be working properly.

It probably isn't an ignition related problem as the problem would normally get worse as RPM increases. I've seen #2 about 5 times in the past year or 2 so it's not uncommon and would recommend replacing the entire distributor if you come to that conclusion, but would definitely check all vacuum hoses first.

Starting problem

Try the idle air control valve it is located near the throttle body it has a four wire plug and has two small hoses attached to it this is a small stepper motor that controls the amount of air on start up this part will cost about $200 from a popular auto parts store.
