To replace the fuel filter, jack the car up to a height so u can comfortably get under. put it on stands, the fuel filter sits under the passenger door side, just make sure u relieve pressure in the system by releasing the shrader valve, and all willbe sweet

Replacing a fuel filter is very simple. it will take two wrenches on each side of filter or a #2 phillips or a pair of regular pliers.(may take channel lock pliers) but regular should work. It will take one of the four tools too complete this job.

Gas leak on top part of the engine chevy trail blazer 4.2 it looks like a lilttle fuel filter and it has a small vaccum hose that comes off of it cant find anything about what the part is called

If it is on the fuel rail, it sounds like the fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum hose off it and check for evidence of gas there. There should be no gas in the vacuum line, but if there is, it is a failed regulator. If the gas is coming from where the regulator sits, the o-ring is probably bad. Pull the device off and check the o-ring, and replace it with a new one.

Where is the fuel filter on a 1985 s15 2.8

Not sure about this particular one but if you don't see it in the fuel line anywhere it may very well be in the carburetor. Simple to change just remove the inlet fuel line from carburetor and then unsrew the filter housing and remove old filter. Clean out housing and install the new filter and inspect the seal for the filter housing for damage. To be safe, perform this with the engine cold.

Hi mate, i got problem, i got honda accord vtec 2001 a/c, so where is fuel filter, and how its looks, cant find, cant see.. i dont understand from that car enything, i know that is fuel filter, becase car...

Fuel Filter Removal & Installation To Remove:
  1. Remove fuel tank.
  2. Remove fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
  3. Remove fuel filter from fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
To Install:
  1. Install fuel filter to fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
  2. Install fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
  3. Install fuel tank.
However, I would look at ignition or tune up issues rather than simply a fuel filter.

Find out what the engine problem is by having the engine's computer scanned through the OBD-II port.

If I change my plugs and fuel filter will my truck

If it has been 30,000 miles or more since the last replacement of your plugs and fuel filter you may notice a small increase in throttle response, but won't be a huge increase. If you are looking for a simple but fairly inexpensive way to gain throttle response, look into a aftermarket computer programmer, they are simple to install and will not hurt your truck, but they can give you some instant gain in throttle response and usually you can pick up a small increase in fuel mileage along with this.(providing you can keep your right foot under control with the power gain).
Good Luck !

85 skyhawk wanted to cut out/stahl when accelerated, drove a quarter mile, put in reverse to back in driveway-it died, tried to start-kept firing off, but wouldn't stay running?

Fuel supply is compromised. Start with simple and work toward complicated. Change fuel filters first while looking for water in the filters. Try a fuel additve. Do not try to siphon water out the tank chances are you'll mess up your gas gauge and sending unit. My money is on the filters.

2003 Jeep will just die after running for a few minutes and then will not start for awile. Seems to happen after 5-10 min of running time. Just changed the fuel pump and same problem. HELP

it sounds like your fuel sending unit is not working in connection to your ecm which is the BRAIN of your jeep. it is sending the wrong signals on how much fuel to squirt through to the fuel rail. check your fuel filters too and see if your fuel injectors are clogged or not ok?
