You blew a fuse. Im guessing most likely culprit is a fusible link. try both sides of fusible links found by your battery. both sides should show your approximate battery voltage. check all fuses especially ones that show power regardless of the ignition switch being on or off.
worked perfectly thanks alot mate. im just missing my stereo now can you point me in the right direction ?? a fuse or something im missing :)
Sure. Your most likely culprit are two fuse locations or three depending on the fuse boxes. You will find one fuse for the audio player in a location by the wiring harness going into the stereo. If this fuse is ok, test with a digital or analog tester, both the red (ignition) wire in your stereo and the yellow(battery) wire. The red wire is only hot with the key unless it was rewired different, and the yellow needs to show power all the time. If these two wires show 12.6volts DC or higher stop there your stereo may have been damaged. If they dont show 12.6 volts. Look for a different ground for the tester and retest. If your meter doesn't show 12.6 volts or higher. Check the dome light fuse and the memory fuse in both the engine compartment fuse box and the interior fuse box. You may check the fuses by setting your meter to ohms looks like a horseshoe, or if your meter has it use the continuity sound option saves alot of time. p.s. can you select the problem solved for your last question. Please please. Thanks let me know how that works.
