Question about 1997 Buick LeSabre
If you recently had the system recharged they may have over filled the system. The ac system has both a HIGH and a LOW cutoff point to keep from damaging the compressor. If it is cycling the compressor on and off (you should be able to tell this by the ac clutch clicking on and off occasionally. If the pressure on the lines gets too high it will cutoof to prevent blowing the lines, if it gets too low it will stop the compressor from damaging itself. I had overcharged my 90 nissan once and it acted this way, it really acted up especially on very hot days.
