More than likely it is the ignition switch audi actually has an open recall campaign for the faulty ignition switch due to a spring inside the switch stretching causing the key to fail to return to the proper run position. i just did mine yesterday.

It could be the relay.
check the relay second in from the left on the bottom row. when you turn on the igition it should click. if not it could be the problem. it has 4 pins coming out of it 2 of which are larger than the other 2.
good luck richie

To me it sounds like you have a bulb about to burn out or already burnt out. check all of your bulbs and replace the one or ones that are bad.

The left and right turn signal lamps are not working when I turn the handle left or right and when I push the hazard button. I do not hear the relay clicking. I checked the fuses situated on the left next...

The relay is dead. This is VERY common on these cars. It's built into the hazard switch. Get a new one (inexpensive even at a dealership, but cheaper still at www.ecstuning.com), and replace it and you'll be back in business.

Turn signal solenoid is located where for a 1997 Quattro A4?

The relay is built into the hazard light switch. The part is $40 or less at a dealership. It's a common failure. I do a lot of Audi repairs and keep four or five on hand at all times just because of the frequency with which they fail.
