Question about 1999 Chevrolet Astro
I recently had the same problem with my 2001 Astro.
I don't know how to get the door/hatch to open. Am looking for suggestions on how to at least get the window part to open so I can replace the part that has failed.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry about the "solution" post, that was suppose to be under the same problem.
Help is needed for a 2001 Astro rear window door lock with Dutch doors.
How to get it open to repair/replace is the question.
It engages but only releases the right side of the window hatch. We've tried pushing on the left side when trying to open the window hoping to release the latch, without success.
There is no panel to remove to access the lock mechanism.
Short of taking the vehicle to the dealer, is there a way of repairing this?
Any help would be greatly aprreciated.
Thanks
